Peter G. (247 KP) rated Sing (2016) in Movies
Jun 5, 2019
Not a very original story but the animation here is top notch as is the voice acting from an all star cast that should really have had a better script to get their teeth into, Harmless fun for kids with great music, but can't help but think the recycled script is nothing to write home about and the cast wasted.

Peter G. (247 KP) rated The Fifth Element (1997) in Movies
Jun 5, 2019
Bonkers, fast paced and very colourful actionfest, Bruce Willis is at his peak here as the cab driver tasked with protecting the titular fifth element although he is completely unaware of it, Gary Oldman produces an out of this world performance as the thoroughly unlikable Zorg, but it's Chris Tucker's over the top Rhuby Rhod that almost ruins a good movie.

Lumos (380 KP) rated Catan in Tabletop Games

This is a classic table top game. My friends and I don't get to play it much but if you are introducing someone to tabletop games, this might be a good one to start with. The rules are pretty simple to follow and the available actions on your turn are limited so there isn't too much for them to make decisions on.

Dean (6927 KP) rated The Skulls (2000) in Movies
Jun 10, 2018
A good young cast, including a very young Paul Walker. It's a decent conspiracy thriller about a secret society that picks the best students from the top universities. After a friends apparent suicide on campus though, is there more to this elite group. It's entertaining, and has a strong cast line up, locations and action. If you like thrillers check this out.

Chrissie-ann (78 KP) rated Hocus Pocus (1993) in Movies

On my top list
Hocus pocus is one of them films I grew up with, from my childhood, watching on repeat. Watching it now years later I still would put this high up there with my favourite films. Yes it's cheesy, yes at points the acting can be slightly poor. But it makes me laugh, makes me smile and I love it.

Rebecca Hope (5 KP) rated The Island of El Dorado in Tabletop Games

Great table top game
I thought this game was quite enjoyable. I am not personally the greatest fan of strategy-based games, and the dice-rolling adds an element of luck to the game that I thought made the game more fun. Easy enough game to learn, I think new players could pick it up relatively quick. Good choice in game to learn.

Sawyer (231 KP) rated The Punisher - Season 1 in TV
Aug 17, 2018
The title character is just simply amazing always a delight to watch his emotional struggle and then kicks some ass (1 more)
Top notch action sequences some brutally realistic military imagery
Pacing can be slow sometimes which is weird considering the source material (1 more)
Some of the characters are just not that interesting mostly the homeland security officers
One batch two batch Penny and dime
