Non stop action!
Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock make a great pair in this great action film from the director of Twister.
I literally was on the edge of my seat the entire film waiting to see what would happen and if the bus hostages would make it through their ordeal alive.
Yeah fine, Dennis Hopper is over the top and some of the scenes are a little unbelievable. A film like this makes you suspend your disbelief while you're watching and takes you along for the ride!!

Milleen (47 KP) rated Paris for One and Other Stories in Books
Nov 14, 2018 (Updated Nov 14, 2018)
Top up on hapless heroines and romance in this year's collection of eleven beautifully crafted short stories. Jojo Moyes is a skilful spinner of characters and fantasy male/female relationships and this short collection is just as satisfying as her novels. The protagonists are warm and slightly quirky which makes them endearing and memorable. If you haven't read a book for a while, short stories are just what you need to warm up your reading habits this winter. Several stories in this collection will get you hooked on Moyes light hearted take on the world
James Koppert (2698 KP) rated We Are The Romans by Botch in Music
Oct 30, 2019
One of the greatest of all time
We Are The Romans is simply one of the greatest albums of all time. Period. Their second studio album Botch took it up a notch. It's like discordant emo if it had only listened to Coalesce and took steroids. It's incredibly heavy but also beautiful. It's hard without being macho, it's orchestral without being over the top. I can listen to this album over and over again and never get bored, just constantly absorb the emotion it gives me. An incredible album.
Jessica Erdas (463 KP) rated the Xbox One version of State Of Decay 2 in Video Games
Jul 18, 2019
An amazing continuation of the first State of Decay. On top of helping your fellow survivors and foraging for good (i.e. food, medicine, ammo, lumber) you must also maintain your vehicle. Unlike the first installment, the vehicles run on gas and must be refueled to continue driving around the maps. Not only is the base game incredibly captivating, the add on pack 'Heartland' includes the old map with new storylines for only $10. The graphics are impressive and the game itself gives you unlimited possibilities and hours of gorey fun.
Coleman Balogh (21 KP) rated Betrayal at House on the Hill in Tabletop Games

Tounge in cheek horror tone
My favorite board game
This is hands down my favorite table top game. It unfolds in two parts both of which I greatly enjoy. The first is building the house (discovering new rooms where events, items, and omens occur). It has a cool co-op feel as well. The haunts are always exciting because you really have no idea what's going to happen. It becomes D&D lite and some haunts are less fun than others buy it greatly increases playability.
Pretty good business book. A lot of it is just stuff that companies aren't doing, which really bothers me. (Just put the right people in the right seats! Make a 10-year goal! Focus on your core-process and let the rest fall off! etc)
I guess I feel it's a little longer than it needs to be to hit some predetermined word-count or page-count target (I guess so they can charge more or make it seem thick enough to be worth purchasing, etc).
I'd still recommend it, especially to top management everywhere.

Sheknows1self (20 KP) rated The Masked Singer in TV
Jan 24, 2019
A celebrity singing competition that features top-secret celebrities facing off against one another while shrouded from head to toe in elaborate costumes, complete with a full facemask to conceal identity. With each performance, the host, panelists, audience, viewers and even the other contestants are left guessing who is singing behind the mask. One singer is eliminated by the audience and judges each week and reveals his or her true identity to the stunned panelists and audience. The American version of the Korean game show "King of the Masked Singer".

David Betteridge (327 KP) rated 6 Underground (2019) in Movies
Feb 29, 2020
Ryan Reynolds (1 more)
Action sequences
Cliche (2 more)
Massive suspension of believe
Some very poor acting
Confusion
So I watched 6 Underground as soon as it came out on Netflix, however I found out straight away, that it was a film guilty of misleading you in the trailers. As much as I loved the action sequences and always enjoy Ryan Reynolds I can decide if this was a half decent action film or just a collection of action film cliches thrown together in a montage with a Ryan Reynolds monologue playing over the top!
