Hans Solo
I'm a huge Han Solo Harrison Ford fan, so was interested to see how this would be made without spoiling my love of Hans Solo. Honestly pleasantly surprised, characters esprecially Chewy were loveable and full of action, an enjoyable film links nicely into the original star wars trilogy.

Great idea but not flawless
It was a great idea from Hugh Howey to do the second book in the Wool trilogy as a prequel rather than a standard sequel. Having already read Wool, Shift gives the reader a chance to find out how the silos came in to be which proves to be a very intriguing story for the most part.
My only criticism would be that having finished Wool, I was desperate to find out how the characters in that story were faring, and Shift completely removed that by in effect restarting the story. Shift was needed, however it may have been better as the final book in the trilogy!

The final book in this trilogy is called <em>Through the Uncrossable Boundary</em>. I think you can guess what that means.
In my opinion, this was the strongest book of the three. Again, it still had a fair few errors, but it was unpredictable and unique. Everything was finally explained in full, and the ending was tidy and satisfying. There was loss and heartbreak, and massive revelations.
Basically, Fletcher and Scoop end up in our world. While this is a little predictable, and some of the following events may be a little cheesy, I think it was quite good. It was a nice ending to the trilogy.

A much funnier and in my opinion best entry in the trilogy, Bruce Campbell shines here in this fish out of water dark fantasy and delivers some great one liners, Sam Raimi adds his trademark style with jumps and scares with the skeleton army being a animated highlight. "This is my boomstick"

Not my normal reading
Gave this a chance as it was on the lending shelf at the hotel, and found myself pleasantly surprised. I’m not a fan or James’s fifty shades trilogy, but this I kind of enjoyed. Whilst still fantastical, the characters were slightly more realistic and likeable.
