Siren Awakened ( Thief of Hearts book 3)
By C.R. Jane and Mila Young
⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️

What happens to a siren who's come back from the dead?

I hope I get the chance to find out.

I've been betrayed, destroyed by the three men that I'd given my trust.
I'm alone again in this place... a place that's darker than hell.
And worse, something strange is happening to me. Something that has me wondering if I can even trust myself.

There are so many secrets in these walls, and I'm now determined to find them all out.
I'm done playing nice. This siren's going to sing once again.

Nightmare Penitentiary doesn't know what's coming.

One will risk the safety of our future. One will reveal a heartbreaking betrayal. One will bring out my own demons. And one might just be the savior I've been looking for.

Don't outstay your time at Nightmare Penitentiary. Some places you just don't survive.

It was good think a little rushed in places but a decent read. I do like this idea of all the monsters locked up together and still causing mayhem.

Gabai is a shifter who owns a BDSM club, somebody has been targeting a room that's special to him so he asks for help from the alpha of his local wolf pack. She sends her second in command Asher and a love story is born.

This story considering what it contains is a very gentle love story about learning to trust each other and not cross boundaries.

Some of Asher's heartbreak is absolutely horrific and the way he has been treated in his past is disgusting! Nobody deserves that treatment nobody! I am glad to say things do pick up for him though and he is able to learn to trust people which had me going woohoo to myself.

I know I keep saying it but it is a very gentle story, don't get me wrong there are sex scenes involved and a bit of the BDSM lifestyle is mentioned, but I personally didn't feel uncomfortable with anything that was written. I enjoyed that the authors switched between the characters' perspectives so you knew what each emotion the main characters were going through.

Recommended by me. An intriguing read 4/5

Tracking Stolen Art in Germany
Kat Lawson’s first official case working undercover for the FBI sends her to Munich, Germany at Christmas. While she is officially there to cover the season for a travel magazine, she is supposed to get close to gallery owner Hans von Hausmann who is suspected of knowing the location of a horde of art missing since the end of World War II. After a slow start, Kat begins to make progress, but without knowing who to trust, can she complete her mission? Or is she in more danger than she realizes?

This was a fantastic book in the series. The world of Munich in December 1999 came to life, and I shivered from cold a few times as I read. The plot kept me guessing as Kat had to deal with one thing after another. The third act just ups the suspense, and I couldn’t put it down. We really only see a couple of returning characters, which means that Kat doesn’t know who she can trust, which was a wonderful addition to the plot. The characters are all strong. This book will have you hooked from the beginning. Enjoy it today.

An interesting continuation of the Wizard of Oz
As a Wizard of Oz adaptation I found this novel to be interesting as it focuses on issues such as greed, trust and power that are prevalent in modern society as underlying themes. Overall, I found the novel to be engaging through its twisted interpretation of what happens after Dorothy returns to Kansas. Despite this, it should be noted that there are parts of this work that drag a little due to a lack of action in chapters that are focused on character and plot development.

Conman Radar Hoverlander isn't sure if he can trust his dad, who has walked into his life after over 20 years and saying he desperately needs money to pay off a man in Vegas. Once again, this is a wild ride that seems a bit too complicated and leaves the reader in a dark a bit much in the name of twists. Still, it was a fun ride
