The ReBirth of Doctor who
Wether your a old doctor who fan or new to the show Christopher Eccleston performance launched the new generation of Doctor who to a much wider audience across the world. Bille Piper performance as Rose is relatable and bring humour to counter Eccelstons sterner side.

Show runners Russel T Davies and Stephan Moffat make a great team with Moffat being a great writer to invoke your inner fears the monsters he creates are top notch and Russel T Davies keeps the series well run and created thw Arc structure that Moffat fails at in later series.

Not to mention it always good to have cybermen darleck back on our tv screens

Far Better than expected!
There's not many TV shows that can grip me into watch all of their episodes back to back, especially comedies which I often have a hard time to really get into.
However this show is me gripped from the end of episode (plenty of cliffhangers to push you forwards immediately). The story is very focussed on the "dick drawing" and the trial of Dylan, whether he did do it and what motive he had for it?

This is filmed perfectly like making a murderer, less mocumentary and more like an actual serious docudrama with some added elements of humour. For a show I thought would immediately be about dick jokes, they steered fairly clear making a smarter and genuinely greater show than I could have expected.

A funny look at morning news, its personalities and what goes into the making of a morning show. Becky, the heroine, has been fired from Good Morning New Jersey. The only job she can get is a Daybreak, a national morning show where the ratings are so bad, they barely register anything at all. Becky, the hardest working producer in TV, goes to work. She fires and hires, finds romance. She recruits a famous news man (the third worst person in the world) to join the morning show. It is hilarious and touching - when they put the weather guy on the roller coaster, I almost spit out my drink. Watch it, its fun.

I got to see the original Rosetta stone the other day. It's truly an amazing artifact that unlocked so much knowledge that might otherwise have been lost.

In that spirit, I'd love to hear from you: What is your favorite book/movie/TV show that has been translated from another language? (Dubbing and subtitles are both acceptable).

Mine are currently One Hundred Years of Solitude and Njáls saga.

Books are altogether another behemoth as most have been translated into other languages. Authors such as Albert Camus, Franz Kafka, Jean Paul Sartre, Dostoevsky, Gunther Grass, Han Kang, Rousseau, Christine de Pizan...it's endless ?

The Hangman's Daughter series, by Oliver Pötzsch, is one of my favorite translations. Originally published in German, I believe. I read them a few years ago - the first one here: https://goddessinthestacks.wordpress.com/2013/10/21/the-hangmans-daughter-by-oliver-potzsch/
and the next three several months later: https://goddessinthestacks.wordpress.com/2014/01/17/book-review-the-dark-monk-the-beggar-king-and-the-poisoned-pilgrim/

This book is based upon a script from the Clone Wars TV show, which ended a little abruptly when Disney took over Lucasfilm. Since Clone Wars is part of the new canon, this book is new canon.
I really liked getting to know more about Ventress. The story was engaging, and I read it in a few days. Though, I do wish this was a few episodes of Clone Wars.
