Emma Bradshaw (3 KP) rated As Old As Time in Books
Feb 4, 2018
Brilliant
Brilliant read took a couple of chapters to get going, and does go back and forth (past and present). It is not as happy as the films. There are twists along the way, you won't see beauty and the beast in the same way again a must for disney fans.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2332 KP) rated The Waking Nightmare (Diagnosis Murder, #4) in Books

A murdered parachuter and a suicide that Dr. Sloan witnesses are the cases in this fast paced mystery. I enjoyed it, but I did feel that there was one more twist than needed at the end.

Booksnthreads (19 KP) rated Bud, Not Buddy in Books

My sixth grade students really enjoyed this novel, though they felt that the end really left them hanging. Bud is an adorable little character and while, as an experienced reader, some parts of the plot were a bit predictable for me, my students were utterly surprised by each twist and turn. A fun read.

This movie is a really awesome Netflix Original. The cinematography is excellent. The acting is compelling, even the children are incredible. Lots of action, with a huge surprise plot twist. I was blown away when I realized what was actually happening. This is a very creative, thrilling sci fi movie and I highly recommend it.

Story keeps you reading
Nice and easy read!
Nice, easy psychological thriller. I ended up guessing who the "masked man" was pretty early in the book but I enjoyed following Emma's journey in trying to remember the events of that fateful night.

Brilliantly upbeat
This is very clever, I thoroughly enjoyed every choreographed minute of it. Not quite what I expected as I assumed it was just a comedy but the music added a fantastic twist. Loved the tequila bit!
Gave a 9 star because the end got a little silly!

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Elegance of the Hedgehog in Books

Whoever translated this from the French is an excellent writer themselves. The language is nothing short of elegant, and reminiscent of Ondaatje. The story is simple but the characters are so vivid and special, they draw you in. Simply a lovely read from start to finish (and the twist in the end isn't bad, either).

Peter G. (247 KP) rated Speed (1994) in Movies
Jun 24, 2019
Early gung ho Keanu movie that is not ageing well at all, the premise is a clever twist on the usual disaster movies and Dennis Hopper is always great at playing his usual antagonistic role.
Sandra Bullock rounds off the cast with Jeff Daniel's in very much a supporting role.. a non essential 80s flick.
