Well done
While the premise of this movie is not exactly unique, it's told in a very unique way. The acting was very good and the effects and cinematic were great too. Any sci-fi fan will enjoy this as will anyone whose ever lost a loved one. No gore or scares but it's fairly deep and emotional with a great twist. Worth a watch.

The Owners had me intrigued from the first time I saw the trailer, the idea of a fresh twist on the home-invasion genre had me wondering how the movie would play out and how the young vs older cast would come together in this adaptation of the graphic novel ‘Une Nuit de Pleine Lune’ from legendary creators Hermann and Yves H.

Best plot twist since Fight Club (the one that isnt inspired by Fight Club)
The name, while ultimately great, nearly kept me from giving what is now my favorite tv series a chance (0 more)
Brilliant, breathtaking, addictive.
I love this show. I only watched it on a lark, expecting to make fun of it - a hacker drama on USA called "Mr. Robot"? This is gonna be hilarious, I thought. I was so incredibly wrong. By the end of the pilot, I was hooked harder than any show since Twin Peaks had hooked me.

It's maybe the most cinematic TV series ever made, more so than a lot of movies. The mysteries it creates are gripping and compelling, inviting intense theorizing and speculation. It pulls off the best twist I've ever seen on television, and does it by blinding you with one that is telegraphed and inspired by another famous plot twist. Rami Malik goes from that guy you've seen in a bunch of stuff to legend status in one scene. In fact, the entire cast is nothing short of amazing. It makes the audience into a part of the show like no show ever has. It's already one of my favorite series ever made. It's brilliant.

Pros:
▪ Psychological
▪ Unexpected twist
▪ Cliff-hanger
Cons:
▪ The cliff hanger and plot twist is so intense I can't cope ?
I'm not sure where to start with this. This is the first book that has literally left me speechless. There was many moments where I gasped out loud and had to close the book to take in what I had just read. It's so psychologically twisting you get dragged into this plot and then everything you have just read gets scrumpled up and blown up into the biggest plot twist I have ever read.
One minute you feel like you know the characters well enough to suspect the ending but then all of that changes and you're left feeling sorry for some characters you once doubted and hate towards characters you once loved.
The author has written this so well and concluded it with an intense cliff hanger.
I would love to go into detail about the story but I can't physically do that without ruining the experience of actually reading it, so all I can say is, if you haven't read this then what the heck are you waiting for?
.
I also just found out that this is being made into a film, this doesn't surprise me! I really hope they do it justice. This author is sensational.

Alicia Berenson is an artist who shoots her husband five times in the face, and then never speaks another word.

Theo Faber is the criminal psychotherapist who wants to fix her.

The backstory helps to fill in details about both characters, of course, but at one point early on I found myself wondering if I really needed that much background info about Theo. I'm just going to tell you that yes, you do need that info. Nothing in this book is done by accident. The secondary characters are very much secondary characters, in that they seem to be far less interesting than either Alicia or Theo. They do what they're designed to do and further the plot, not much more. Until.

And I really can't give you much more than that. This is a book that depends upon the reader being fooled by the twist - and what a twist it is! I appreciate a good twist, assuming I didn't see it coming, and in this case I definitely did not.

This is a hell of a debut novel, and I truly hope to read more from this author. The movie rights have already been optioned by Plan B Productions / AnnaPurna Pictures, and I cannot wait to see how this story translates to the big screen.
