Poppy never thought her life would get this crazy.
Sexy hellhound guards and being the future queen of the Underworld? She had been happy being a waitress and a freelance graphic designer in Chicago, hadn't she? What she was doesn't matter, that life is long gone now.
Before she can travel to the Underworld, she needs to find three judges that will preside over the souls of the dead. But who are they? Where are they? And how the hell is she supposed to find them?
As she battles agents of Hel at every turn and is confronted with mysterious new enemy Poppy is decidedly on edge. Will she find her judges in time or will her enemies get to them first?
We pick this up with Poppy searching for her 3 judges as well as getting closer with her hellhounds. It was ok it’s an easy series to read and can get a bit spicy. It was action packed too. All the things you expect from a RH. The one thing I’d like more is more depth.

Dante metaphysically takes you through the underworld, utterly incredible
Even after six centuries, Dante's Inferno is one of the most important works that needs to be read. Exploring the nine circles of hell, Dante (using his own name) speaks of being led by Virgil to the different depths of depravity of human nature. From virtuous non-Christians such as Socrates, through to lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery, where he meets Judas. It is epic in every sense, from the content to the language. Mind-blowing.

Not that different to the last 2 films
Another cash in
I was excited to hear about another Underworld film. The first was great but they have gone rapidly down hill ever since. This is slightly better than the last outing and carries on shortly after where the last one ended. However it's been basically the same story for the last few films now. Unless they can come up with something fresh it might be time to put a stake through the heart of this franchise.

Ok so the pitch for this must have been Matrix meets Underworld. It's very stylized, has some nice production. The CGI was good especially for the Vamps, the weapon and vehicle design was nice ( There is a 10 min featurette on the DVD for these, the bikes looking a cross between Tron/Akira styles and Darth Maul's speeder!) However it's sadly lacking in story, which is just bizarre and substance with a run time 75min! The ending just happens a bit too quick. Nice touches but overall not a patch on the similar films.

Good UK Gangster Film
A very good low budget crime drama. Set in Liverpool it shows the criminal underworld as the local gangsters try to out do each other and make a name for themselves. Very brutally violent at times, this is a good little known film that seemed to go straight to DVD. Most of the cast will be familiar to UK audiences, some of which who do very well here with their performances. The story is good and keeps you guessing who will double cross who in the name of greed. Kinda like an English version of Goodfellas crossed with Heat!

Cold Case
Black Rain- is a good action film. Micheal Douglas was good in it. Ridley Scott directed it.
The plot: New York City policemen Nick (Michael Douglas) and Charlie (Andy Garcia) witness a murder in a bar and quickly apprehend the assailant. The killer, named Sato (Yusaku Matsuda), is a member of Japan's infamous Yakuza mob, and Nick and Charlie must transport the gangster back to Osaka for his murder trial. There, Sato's fellow gangsters free him from police custody, forcing Nick and Charlie to scour Japan's dangerous underworld of organized crime in search of their fugitive.

I was sent a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Author Jordan Elizabeth has written many stories for young adults of all sorts of genres. With Fanya in the Underworld, Jordan tackles steampunk fiction with elements of fantasy and the paranormal. Set in Alaska during the 19th century when the state was still owned by Tsarist Russia, humans rely on steamtech and spirit magic to fuel their industrious cities.
The story begins shortly after the death of Fanya's father, leaving her as heir to his estate. Unfortunately, her step-mother has overruled her right to her inheritance. By making a fuss to the council, Fanya inadvertently puts both her life and the life of her younger sister in danger. Desperate to protect her sister from the clutches of a mysterious Englishman, Fanya finds herself in the wilderness where the indigenous, magical folk live. Despite having lived in a city her entire life, Fanya soon discovers she has far more in common with the people in the untamed wild.
Whilst a work of imaginative fiction, Fanya in the Underworld works with the historical truth about settlers moving to Alaska, Canada and the United States. Those from Europe who travelled to North America drove out the indigenous folk, destroyed their land and culture and deemed them to be lesser beings. The same has occurred in this novel in which the natives are banned from the cities, treated like animals and even murdered just for being who they are.
By caring so much about her sister, Fanya discovers the truth about the way the cities developed and is shocked by the revelation. Although her sister is at the forefront of her mind, her actions cause huge changes in Alaska resulting in a favourable, although unpredictable, conclusion.

Easy to teach if you know rummy already (1 more)
Fun theme
Do you like Rummy, this is a upgraded twist on it.
Number 5 in the series... It's classic rummy with a twist; players playing melds and layoffs of Evidence cards to score points. Move the car to different locations and try to find the notorious bandits. Simple but with slightly more strategy and therefore more interesting. Can be played with young and old alike. There are more in this series so if you enjoy this you might like the others:
