Erika (17788 KP) rated The Wedding Singer (1998) in Movies
Jun 16, 2018
I love this film so much. Adam Sandler is toned down as a genuinely good guy and wedding singer. The soundtrack is solid, and every time I hear the song 'True', I remember the last scene with Steve Buscemi singing it.
I loved both of the 'original' songs that Robbie wrote, and the 'Somebody Kill Me' song is hilarious.
Overall, this is probably one of my favorite movies, and definitely my favorite Adam Sandler movie.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2099 KP) rated Murder at Keyhaven Castle in Books

You Are Invited to a … Murder
The wedding of American heiress Stella Kendrick to Viscount “Lyndy” Lyndhurst is just days away, and they can’t wait. A murder in a nearby town doesn’t seem like it could interfere, until they learn the man was ranting about killing someone before he died and he had a copy of the newspaper’s announcement of their wedding in his pocket. When another murder happens during an outing to the ruins of Keyhaven Castle, it threatens their wedding. Are the two deaths related? Will Stella and Lyndy be able to get married?
This is another case where you could jump in here, but the events and the characters’ reactions to them will make more sense if you’ve read the first two books in the series. The story walks a fine balance between taking the events of the story seriously and being too dark, and I appreciated how that was handled. I did figure out a few things early on, but there was so much happening, it didn’t really ruin the story for me. Part of that is because of the strong romance in the series – I think I was rooting for Stella and Lyndy to get married as much as they were. Obviously, I love them, and they continue to lead a great cast of characters. Again, the world of 1905 was brought to life wonderfully. If you are a fan of this series, you’ll definitely enjoy this book. If you are new, I suggest you meet Stella and Lyndy soon.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2099 KP) rated Royal Blood in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Lady Georgiana is invited to a castle in Transylvania to be a royal representative at a wedding. But once she gets there, she sees stuff that seems to involve vampires. And that's before someone drops dead. What's really happening? Plenty of fun as always, although the book does have a bit of a slow start.

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated A Deadly Feast in Books
Dec 30, 2019
I received a copy of A Deadly Feast from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Hayley is excited about her upcoming wedding when a woman tragically dies on a food tour. She also has to worry about her broken down future houseboat and her future husband's career.
It's a lot. But thankfully, not too much. Hayley wants to clear the name of a chef and goes about doing so.
I really, really liked Miss Gloria

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Two Caravans in Books
Oct 7, 2020
In honor of my wedding anniversary, I thought I’d update one of my older reviews that I consider a classic love story. The one I picked is Marina Lewycka’s second novel “Two Caravans,” which American audiences you may know as “Strawberry Fields.” While this book isn’t quite as good as her debut novel, it certainly is fun! You can read my revised review on my blog here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/08/05/a-berry-nice-book/
Whatchareadin (174 KP) rated Bridal Girl in Books
Apr 9, 2019
Kim and Nicholas are about to get married. It's seven months until their wedding day and Kim is under a lot of stress with all that has to be done. Not only is she in the middle of planning her wedding, she is also just coming off releasing her first book and is working on the second. As part of her two-book deal with her publisher, she has to have a rough draft of the book in right before her nuptials. Will Kim and Nicholas be able to have the wedding they both dream of, or will the stress of everything going on be too much for them to handle?
Thank you to NetGalley and Henery Press for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Wedding season is among us. From now through the beginning of fall, finding a ballroom, limousine, or a bakery may prove very difficult.
Bridal Girl is the third book in the Blogger Girl Series. I have not read the other books in the series, but I did purchase them while reading this book. Kim Long is a blogger turned author. With such high success of her blog she decided to go ahead and write a book, the previous books give you details about this journey for Kim. Her first book was recently published and is up for it's second printing run. If Kim can stop looking at all of the negative reviews and focus on what is in front of her, she may be able to get book two out in time.
Luckily for Kim she has Nicholas. Nicholas and Kim are perfect together, they are each other support system. When Kim is overwhelmed with trying to find a dress that not only she will love, but that the rest of her bridal party agrees on too, Nicholas is there to be the shoulder to cry on and even offers to go dress shopping with her.
With ex-girlfriends, pregnancy, writers's block, frenemies, new editors, and life in general, will it all be too much for Kim to handle?
Get this book for your entire bridal party, for your friend getting married this year, for those thinking about writing a book. Heck, get the whole series.

The Mountain and Viper episode (5 more)
Purple Wedding
Daenerys
Tyrell's
Ayra
Tyrion
Dragons come into play
Finally this season the Dragons are big enough to be fun to watch Daenerys is finally becoming a strong leader and has some power. Without a doubt this season my favorite episode was the mountain and viper episode and what a great fight scene that consisted of. For the first time in game of thrones series i cant remember much about the final two episode so this is slightly disappointing but my biggest disappointment came in the fact they didn't bring the character Lady Stoneheart into play. By know we all know charterers that get killed on game of thrones don't always stay dead and in the book the character that was killed last season should of returned as a big bad but alas they didn't create her in the TV show and i was highly disappointed by this.
Tee highlight of this season was the second episode got to love a game of thrones wedding. Didn't I say the queen of thorns was brilliant

Destination wedding planner Kelsey McKenna thinks she’s seen everything at a wedding. That’s why, when one of the bridesmaids collapses at the end of the ceremony she thinks the woman is just hung over. Imagine her surprise when she realizes that Dana is dead. When the police arrest the bride’s sister for the crime, the mother of the bride insists that Kelsey has a duty to free her younger daughter. Can Kelsey figure out who the killer is?
I feel in love with this book in the very first chapter, and I was not at all disappointed as I kept reading. The plot is fast paced with plenty of twists along the way to a surprising yet logical conclusion. The characters are sharp. A few are a tad over the top, but that adds to the fun and humor of the mystery. I will definitely be attending Kelsey’s future weddings.
