Just finished watching on Disney plus not my usual cup of tea but I kinda liked it kat dennings plays a woman who's basically dumped by her boyfriend and tries to recontect with her friends plus she keeps this cat lady that she can see. OK it can get weird sometimes but I found it to be funny especially kat dennings who was the funny one In 2 broke girls shame there's there's only been series so far
weird and wacky but so bloody good!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
Did you ever read a book and think "what the actual f88k did I just read?"
Cos let me tell ya, this book is such a book! But I mean this in the BEST way!
Frenchie is a potato shifter. Yes, you read that right, a POTATO. Tala is a wolf. And it makes for quite an interesting read, it really does!
It's quite hard, I think, to come up with a really NEW idea, but Ms Sayle proper nailed it here!
It's proper weird and wacky as the series title suggests, but it's also a lot of fun, with some sass and some smex and some danger and a whole sack full of hints and clues about this world that I want more, and I want it yesterday!
As well as feeling pleasantly buzzed and left warm and fuzzy by this book, I'm also left with a lot of questions (which Ms Sayle will know, for me, is dangerous ground!) I'm hoping they get answered in future books. I can't really voice them, for spoilers, but I know what they are, so that's good!
Frenchie's brother and Tala's twin need their story. There is a lot of hurt between those two right now!
Or maybe a broccoli shifter? Or even a bean cos, apparently, beans are dull!
Please, though, read this. It really is a whole lot of fun, and a great start to what I can see being an fantastic series!

Andrew Furlong (14 KP) rated Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) in Movies
Sep 27, 2017
Airtight plotting and brilliant direction by Nicholas Meyer (5 more)
Excellent character moments and growth
Ricardo Montalban as the film franchise's best villain
A climax which can still bring me to tears
James Horner's score
Thematiacally compelling
Considered the best for a reason
Dumps the cerebral 2001 tone of the previous film and is instead a smaller, more character focused film. Not only one of the best Trek films but one of the Sci-Fi greats imo

The tension of not knowing what is going on (1 more)
Stephen King story
Something is in the Mist
Personally I thought this was excellent! Heard little about it before seeing it, but once I heard it is based on a Stephen King story I had to check it out. It certainly is typical Stephen King stuff, weird and wonderful. A mix of Cloverfield and the Fog. If you haven't seen it go check it out!
The DVD has the option to watch it in black and white.

graveyardgremlin (7194 KP) rated Read On...Historical Fiction: Reading Lists for Every Taste in Books
Feb 15, 2019
Is there anything better than a book about books? :D Very handy little book, especially if you're a novice to the historical fiction genre and aren't quite sure where you'd like to travel next. How the author categorized books was very helpful and inventive too. Altogether it may not be the most comprehensive guide to historical fiction, but it's a darned good place to start your journey in the field or just to decide what's next. Is it weird that I read it cover to cover? ;P
Red Otter (340 KP) rated Innovation in Tabletop Games
May 30, 2019
Innovation is one of the strangest yet most innovative games I played. No game plays out the same way. The game works by each player drawing and playing various technologies to create a tableau of actions that they can take on your turn. By utilising these actions to either improve your board, score points, oress with your opponent, you eventually reach a required score to win. I love this game since weird shenanigans and combos can arise and there always is come back potential.

"Get your ass to Mars."
So, I didn't actually see this film until the remake was in the process of being made. The film is based upon 'We Can Remember it for You Wholesale' by Phillip K. Dick (which is excellent). Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't an award winning actor, but he was completely entertaining (as he is in most films). The weird, early 1990s SFX where a little bizarre, e.g., the face generator. Overall, it's entertaining and well paced, and I may just watch it again this afternoon.

More than happy!
Wow. What a great series. If you like crazy, funny programmes then this is one for you.
With Deadpoolesque humour and the stamina of The Punisher, this guy is one hell of a character.
I shall not write any spoilers but highly recommend that if you’re stuck on what to watch on Netflix at the moment, this is well worth a try and you will be hooked.
Prepare for crazy!
