Well I spotted this was directed by Anna Paquin's brother and also had Stephen Moyer from True Blood on the cover, unfortunately they are not the main stars of the film. Rachel Blanchard of the TV series Clueless is the main lead.
This falls into the category of weird films, there isn't a lot of back story or explanation really into the why or what of what is going on. Reminded me a lot of Funny Games. Quite bloody and brutal, ok for a low budget film but a bit more plot would have be nice....and Anna Paquin!

Pseudo Live action remake (or should that be re-telling?) of the 1967 Jazz-tastic Disney original, with a star studded voice cast that includes Bill Murray (as Baloo), Ben Kingsley (Bagheera), Idris Elba (Shere Khan), Scarlett Johansson (Ka) and Christoper Walken (King Louis).

It's rather weird, however, seeing/hearing these voices come out the impressive-CGI'd creatures: for me, a disassociation that the film never really gets over.

But, yes, the "Bear Necessities" and "I want to be like you" both do get a reprise in this movie, but neither version can hold a candle to the original.

Great series! Needs to be watched by anyone with a dark sense of humour and a pinch of unsocialism..

All 3 seasons are pretty spectacular so I can't say any in particular would be my favourite but this season has some of the best episodes. Hello? Pickle Rick? Hilarious! Vindicators needs a fourth mission! So funny! And the ABCs of Beth episode was so weird I can't help but remember it.... The ending however! So frustrating! I can't believe I'm waiting 2 years if not more for th season 4.... Wubba Lubba Dub Dub am I right?

What was this film, like honestly? It makes no sense at all. Its confusing, the action/cgi effects are hilariously bad and a waste of early 2000's metal music. Overall it is a weird but fun movie to watch. Jet Li and Jason Statham do a good job in this film. This film is a mix of like six different genres from sci-fi to action to martial arts to whatever else. By the end of the movie, i was overall confused but entertained. Thanks early 2000's for coming up with this movie.

Convenience Store Woman is a weird little novel. Granted, Americans have a very different culture than the Japanese when it comes to marriage and jobs. This story follows a strange woman during her years of working at a convenience store, which she loves and does well at. However, the way she is viewed puts stress and panic on her to fit in with society. The story, itself, is quirky, but the main character is an odd duck, herself. Plus, if you're the type of reader that loves to hate characters, this book definitely has one for you!

A creative and fun slice of early Tim Burton with the director beginning to establish his signature blend of dark humour and gothic landscapes populated by weird creatures. The quirky story and (due to their fantastical nature) the special effects still hold up well today , Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis also make for likeable leads but Michael Keaton of course steals the show in the title role ( even if I was surprised by how little screen time he actually has). This isn’t Tim Burton’s best film but you can certainly see his talent starting to develop and this is a fun little romp.

For the most part, I really enjoyed this book. However, the dialogue is just weird. They both talk like they weren’t born and raised in America. Ana grew up in Las Vegas (?) and Christian, as far as we know, is from the PNW. And yet, sometimes they both talk like they’re English, and not in a cute way. In a, there’s no way in hell anyone born and raised in the states would say that, kind of way. It just made it feel less genuine.

Additionally, Ana is an idiot but I think we all know that.

David Cronenberg’s take on the future of video games is a highly unique and original piece of storytelling and could in some ways be a companion piece to his earlier ‘Videodrome’ tackling similar themes of the body and its relationship with technology. Cronenberg’s script frequently pulls the rug out from under you as he blurs the lines between reality and game. The use of technology born out of reality such as the bone gun and bio ports also means even 20 years later the film hasn’t really dated. A thoroughly entertaining slice of cerebral sci-fi from the master of weird.‬
