So it's no surprise that, despite being (seemingly) killed off in the finale of that film that Lucas brought him back, first in The Clone Wars TV series, secondly as a cameo in 'Solo: A Star Wars movie" and (finally) as the main protagonist in this eight-episode animated offering.
And what an offering it is, with Sam Witwer's Maul as enigmatic as ever, and with a superb finale that sees a certain other Dark Lord of the Sith put in an appearance, showing why everyone (in universe) is just so afraid of him!
Well worth a watch.

While - of necessity - a large part of the screen time is devoted to Watney and his time alone on the planet, the film (and book) also cuts between his colleagues on the spacecraft home (and how they react once they find out he is alive), and various NASA personnel, most of whom are only given the broad strokes of characterisations
As a Ridley Scott film, you know you're going to get impressive visuals and world building (it's one of the things he excels at), while Damon actually proves surprisingly well cast as Watney. I don't remember the final section of the film being in the book though ...

So let’s get straight into this review, my first response Hellraiser Judgment sounds very familiar then it hit me, the film reminds me of Seven with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman but with the Pinhead and some Cenobites that have been thrown into the mix almost like a Seven vs Hellraiser movie.
As we’ve come to expect from the Hellraiser franchise there is plenty of those gory, blood-soaked, scenes that can make the stomach turn as well as some other uneasy scenes that make you look away, look out for the “cleansing” scene that’s one that had me heaving!
