Bronwyn, the overachieving nerd, hoping to head to Yale, Cooper the star baseball jock, Addy the prom queen and Nate the bad boy, are all now looking at facing murder charges when the investigation uncovers Simon's last gossip column, pointing the finger in their direction.
Follow the Bayview 4 as they try to uncover the other secrets, prove their innocence and try to keep up with being teens in a normal high school.
McManus keeps the suspense building in this well written novel. Expect some twists and the odd red herring as you follow the journey of these four very likeable characters, thrown together in an unlikely friendship.

The film seems to be suggesting that in a conflicted and corrupt world, the best thing is to find joy where you can, and the developing romance between the two leads is as memorable as any of the political or dramatic content. Possibly a bit overlong at two and a quarter hours, but an engaging, intelligent and moving film from the first moment to the last.

For the time I had it, it was for the most part an excellent phone. Basic (text and calls only with only snake or something similar for entertainment), waterproof (and it floats), dustproof, and so loud it could easily be heard in the noisiest of environments.
But after a couple of weeks, I removed it from my pocket, and this somehow broke the clips on the cheap and cheerful battery cover, rendering it no longer waterproof or dustproof. The battery cover is held in with two flimsy plastic clips, that are apparently easily broken off.
Finally, the appearance. Not an important one, I quite like it, but it does have a very cheap plastic look about it.

Unfortunately I was as underwhelmed as part one, the casting for the grown up losers was pretty good and it has a powerful opening scene but the narrative was very incoherent, consisting mainly of random jump scenes and descending once again into a mess of cgi monsters. The origins of Pennywise was all very poorly done. My God did it drag in the middle as well , I found myself checking my phone on several occasions (never a sign I am enjoying a movie) and was relieved when it was over. It was at least half an hour too long and really didn’t need to be.

Slots very nicely into the development of early-30s genre cinema - the premise vaguely recalls Dracula, while many of the key personnel would go on to make King Kong the following year. Still stands up well as an adventure movie in many ways; above average script, some rousing set pieces, and an enjoyably extravagant performance from Leslie Banks as the bad guy. The short running time does count against it though (the hunt only gets underway in the final third of the movie). One of the progenitors of the modern action blockbuster, and a fine movie in its own right.
