Disappointing, writing from an elitist bubble
This was rather disappointing. While Joan Didion is obviously a good writer, she is too much of a cynic and writes from the perspective of upper class privilege. She has more enthusiasm for high end elitist social circles than the civil rights movements taking place in 1960s, even criticising Nobel Prize winner of Literature, Doris Lessing. She prefers the company of Charles Manson associates than she does of leading feminists and Black Panther leaders. It sounded like a long winded rant about her own troubles than the troubles of the time.

OMG !!, I just couldn't put this book down. What an emotional roller coaster of a ride from the first chapter to the very last one. Amazing characters, I just fell in love with from the start. Another amazing story from this author. I have definitely been left with a book hanger over with this book. This story is so fantastically written, one minute your are smiling the next you are crying like a baby. I can't wait to read more from this amazing writer in the future.

Very highly recommended

Wow this was a thrilling and edgy ride to be a part of. Amazing writing and characters. There is nightmares, murder, love interests, romance (and a sexy romance at that), intrique and so much more in this story. The writing makes me feel as if I was a part of this story with the characters. I felt as if I was in their lives and seeing it as it was happening. I love when a writer makes me feel like that. Linda did an amazing job with this first story in this series and I can't wait to see what happens next

Amanda Harvey Purse what can I say amazing I loved this book and I'm not just saying that.

The story line jumps between the years 1888 and 1889 the place London your hosts for this intriguing murder mystery are Mary Kelly the fifth Jack the Ripper victim and Thomas Dunn a writer and I'm not telling you any more because you really should read this book. There is so much I could tell but won't all you need to know is that Amanda has mixed alot facts relating to the Jack the Ripper case amongst fiction to create a great story.

What a page turner! Yes the plot is a bit ridiculous and yes the characters lives are a bit bizarre, but you can't deny that this book is gripping the whole way through!

The twists and turns in this book are never ending and they're all completely shocking, though one in particular strikes you more than others. I'm definitely going to look into more Peter Swanson books after reading this one, I think he's an excellent writer and if he continues to write books as good as this I can easily see him becoming one of my favourite authors.

I cannot stop the story from spinning in my mind still. I have been stewing over this read for the past hour or so. I love her storytelling. Her descriptions make you feel like you are truly there and can nearly feel the breeze blowing off the lake into your window... or her writing would make you think you can. I cannot get enough of this writer. I have read Never Knowing and now this one, Still Missing and I am pre-ordering her next book due out in June. I couldn't put this book down. I just love these thrillers.

The prize-winning screen writer of the film 'The Theory of everything' has penned a wonderful insight into the life of Winston Spencer Churchill. This narrative examines his rise during one of the most crucial periods of World War II. It relives the conversations between Britain's most powerful men, revealed through their private diary excerpts. Through these intensely researched accounts of the time, McCarten skilfully conveys a very rounded and human account of Churchill. He cleverly shows how a man full of self-doubt transformed himself into the iconic figure that led the country to victory.

Minority Report- is a excellent movie. The action, the sci-fi, the future, the plot, the cast, etc. Also Steven Spilberg directs it, so thats a plus.

The plot: Based on a story by famed science fiction writer Philip K. Dick, "Minority Report" is an action-detective thriller set in Washington D.C. in 2054, where police utilize a psychic technology to arrest and convict murderers before they commit their crime. Tom Cruise plays the head of this Precrime unit and is himself accused of the future murder of a man he hasn't even met.

A excellent movie.
