"Little known fact: my directorial debut was a super-8 zombie picture, full of blood and more blood (“Mutants”). “Mandy” is something my 12 year-old self would have loved. And my current self also finds it pretty damn entertaining."

Rob zombie makes micheal myers into a 2 hour film
Contains spoilers, click to show
Yes if you didnt know that rob zombie directed a halllowen film, well this is it.

Rob Zombie's remake of halloween takes alot of risks. But do their pay off no their dont.

Rob focus on younger micheal for a good hour and thats a bit to longer, and than the last hour is a fast paste copy and paste of the oringal film.

So many swears in this film. Their is like over 100 swears. 20 in the first 20 minutes.

Im not sure why rob zombie directed halloween, it was a intrest choice. Also rob put his wife in the film.

Halloween, could of been more, but with its long run time, a heavy focus on micheal myers childhood and a rush copy and paste of the oringal. Halloween fails as a remake.

This movie was a real let down for how it was hyped up by critics and movie reviewers. I mean I don't know why I let myself get excited when the premise is that the main character is dealing with one lone zombie. The main character Molly was also a character that I initially saw as annoying and hard to empathize with so it made most of the movie hard to watch. The special effects or movie makeup for the zombie wasn't that well done either for it being one zombie so that also stopped me from being fully immersed in the movie. There were times where I hated this character for being so stupid and never making good decisions or right choices in her survival. For being in the desert she drinks her water way too fast and never thinks about rationing it, she almost gets bit while stopping to do cocaine, she almost gets bit for going back for a bottle of vodka, and she ultimately gets bit for wanting to keep the zombie with her after she grows attached to it. Still as the movie went on and as the character Molly dealt with her ordeals one after the other, I couldn't help but want to root for her survfival. To me really the film only got better at the end when she gets to the airfield. As the movie had been going she spoke to the zombie and we learned more about her which made it easier to understand her motivations and that she had a child that she abandoned to be raised by her sister. Now that she has been through some things she wants to survive and get to this child so she can protect him. And that's when her attitude changes and she's not going to let anything stop her. To me though it was too little too late and the way the movie ended was a big disapointment as well. Just when it was getting good. I have to give this movie a 4/10. While there were parts that were good and some decent zombie scenes at the end the majority of the movie was a bore as the character monologues to a singular zombie the whole time and eventualyy tames/domesticates it taking away the fear that it's ever going to eat her. Way below average zombie movie.

The characters, it isn't really obvious what's going to happen later on in the film, it's different from most other zombie films. (0 more)
A gripping Korean zombie film
I was excited to watch Train to Busan the moment I saw the trailer for it. I am a huge fan of horror and zombie films and this one looked different.
I was pretty into it as soon as I started to watch it, I was pulled in and couldn't take my eyes from the screen from the moment the characters first board the train.
There were little details here and there that I loved including the fact that one character has a brand new Nintendo Ds (I love Nintendo).
Most zombie movies bore me after a while and I don't care too much for the characters, but in Train to Busan I was rooting for several of them.
I also loved the fact they were on a train, that was ont of the reasons I wanted to watch this film, I wanted to see exactly how they were gonna survive in such a small space.
I highly recommend this film, give it a try even if you don't like the look of it and it might surprise you.

First of all, this is marketed as a horror comedy, which is arguably misleading. Bar a couple of throw away gags near the start (and an obligatory dismembered penis), Yummy plays things pretty straight, as it violently hurtles towards it's bleak (as fuck) conclusion.

The lack of laughs isn't a bad thing by any means. There are plenty of zombie comedies already out there (granted, there are plenty of zombie movies in general to choose from) but as this particular sub genre refuses to die, the serious entries may as well be half decent, which Yummy certainly is.
It's has some great set pieces, some nice camera work, and a good cast.
Maaike Neuville and Bart Hollanders are a likable lead duo, and give us a pair of sympathetic characters to root for, and are a huge asset to this movie.

For zombie fans, have no fear, it doesn't take long for the shit to hit the fan, and the gore comes thick and fast when things start tumbling downhill. The practical effects are fantastic, the CGI effects are painfully average, but overall it gets the job done.

Yummy is a genuinely solid entry into the vast Zombie Horror catalogue. It's bloody, it's morbid, and it's hectic, which is good enough for me.

I've been watching since the show started. I love Liv's character. It's fun seeing her actress take on different personalities. It's a zombie show but isn't all Gore and guts. Also it's a detective ish type show that I really enjoy.
