I dont know what the directors/creators were on when they made this but it is a wild ride. I cant decide where my mind exploded from the randomness, whether it was the flesh eating zombies, Keanu Reeves skit or the Snoop dog random dance interlude. Wow, so bizarre! I cant decide if I enjoyed it

Kat S. (3 KP) rated The Mummy (2017) in Movies

The "witty" banter was not. The jokes were flat when they were trying to make things a little lighter and the story development was more about how many explosions and fights can we put in this movie than actually developing a story. There were a few moments that caught me and I was impressed but it had to do with the effects like the eyes not the overall movie.
The mummies used reminded me more of zombies. The only difference is that mummies go poof into dust and zombies go squish into goo when disposed of.
The ending was decently done, but the build up to it was slapdash at best. I really wouldn't watch this movie again.

LeftSideCut (3778 KP) rated Train to Busan (2016) in Movies

Fair play, Korea does not fuck about when it comes to zombies.
Train to Busan is a proper ride from start to finish. Its action is well paced, unrelenting when it's happening, and the quieter moments are brimming with wonderful character building, as well as some horribly tense scenes to keep things moving.
The zombies themselves are pretty full on, breaking their own bones to get where they need to go, not even eating people, just biting and moving on, spreading the disease, in all their scary ass rabid-ness.
The train setting that takes up the majority of the runtime is claustrophobic as hell, and gives the movie a unique feel.
Overall, Train to Busan is a film that proves that the zombie genre isn't as tired as one might think. Extra points for nearly making me cry during the homestretch.

Strange Zombies.
I just didnt understand this movie, the pacing was all over the place, the comedy was all over the place, the horror was all over the place. I just dont understand what this movie was surpost to be. Its not a bad movie, just a strange movie. The cast was wasted, the zombies was the best part.
The plot: In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviours. News reports are scary, and scientists are concerned, but no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: the dead rise from their graves and feast on the living, and the citizens must battle to survive.
Its just strange.

Dead Shore

⭐️⭐️⭐️
They're coming for you and your child. How fast can you run?
When a group of teenagers mess around with a washed-up dolphin carcass, Karen and her toddler Charlie are caught in a wave of chaos and violence as one by one the residents of Ashmouth fall prey to a deadly virus, transforming them into relentless, violent zombies. Allying herself with Dean, one of the teenage boys, Karen must stay strong and alert as the world she knows crumbles around her and there appears to be no way out. Is the village doomed, and will this zombie outbreak remain contained?
A quick burst of zombie action well written but not much different to what we normally read, except these zombies seem to have a plan.

Bryn takes a job in a funeral directors, but the first day does not go as planned. What follows is a recipe for crazy.... nanites, the walking deceased (not zombies) and a romance in the making!
Really well written, some great characters too... I found the start a little slower than I would normally enjoy, but stuck it out and really enjoyed the book
