Greetings. You might remember me from ...well..we do share the same planet.
I'm a Mum but I'm a "cool" Mum (seriously, ask my son). Video games are my lifeblood (especially 'The Elder Scrolls Online'). Books are devoured frequently along with movies, tv series, music and lollies (sugar junkie alert). I have been known to strum some ditties on my acoustic and electric guitars, guzzle herbal tea, write twisted short stories, sing badly as I attempt this thing known as living , all of the above is what I truly need to survive.

I'm hearing a lot of great things about the new tv series 'American Gods' on Amazon Prime.
I must read the book first!
The fact that it's written by Neil Gaiman makes it just that much more enticing.

'Ex-convict Shadow Moon roams a world he doesn't understand, left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife.

Little does he know his life is about to change after he meets a crafty, charismatic con man named Mr. Wednesday, who offers Shadow a job as his bodyguard.
As their journey begins, Shadow encounters a hidden America where magic is real and fear grows over the ascending power of New Gods like Technology and Media.
In a grand plan to combat the threat, Mr. Wednesday attempts to unite the Old Gods to defend their existence and rebuild the influence that they've lost, leaving Shadow struggling to accept this new world and his place in it.'

Just finished devouring ep 2/S2 of 'True Blood'. Took me long enough to sink my fangs into it. (Pun fully intended).

Now off to bed for some not so light reading.
I am currently absorbed in 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood. Powerful, disturbing, compelling and utterly heart wrenching.

I finished watching the tv series last week which is absolutely brilliant.
A must watch for those interested in dystopian and New World Order themes.
Definitely influened by George Orwell's classic 'Big Brother' totalitarian novel, '1984'.
