Cool Ferrari
Good action scenes
Cool TV series
Well I can guess the low ratings are from people who don't like it compared to the original 80's series. A female Higgins probably didn't go down well? I don't remember much about the old series apart from set on Hawaii, Tom Selleck, Ferrari and the English butler with the Doberman dogs.
20 years since that ended this is the reboot. It keeps all those elements, with a modern Ferrari and T. C. with an identical Helicopter.
Now that Hawaii 5o has finished if you want a light hearted action series in a beautiful location, this is it. Some good action scenes and cameos from the original cast. It's easy viewing, maybe not as funny as it thinks but generally a good watch.

Disney in the 80's noticed the trend that horror movies were making quite a bit of money and they were a struggling company financially so they decided they were going to make some scary and sci do movies including watcher in the woods, The Black Hole and This movie Which is based On A ray Bradbury Book. I Must say first that I Have not read the book so my review Is based upon the movie alone! This is scary and definitely not recommended for young viewers that being said it is not a horror movie but is extremely dark with some frightening moments. Mr. Dark and his carnival come to town when things start to happen to the townspeople can two young boys stop mr. Dark from his sinister plans or will they be the next

The acting is horrible (3 more)
The characters in this film are not very bright
More of an 80's circle jerk
Almost completely different to the book
Horrible Film
I loved the book of Ready, Player One. The book is amazing. However, the movie is one big pile of poop. The acting is abysmal. The characters seem to be really dumb in the film. It takes them forever to figure out something simple even though they've had years to figure it out. The casting is horrible too. The characters look nothing like how they are described in the book. The film changed the plot almost completely compared to the book.
My husband and I turned this off after watching the first 30 minutes. We both hated it. It was a waste of half an hour and a waste of money.

Amazingly this now has 9 sequels, the 2nd and 3rd were passable but the original is the only one really worth bothering with. Clive Barker’s film is a highly original dark and twisted nightmare. I didn’t find it outright scary but it succeeds with its grim sense of foreboding and memorably horrible images that linger in your head long after the film has finished. I thought the iconic Pinhead character and the other cenobites were actually a bit under used (about 5 minutes total screen time) and could have really terrified the audience if we had seen a bit more of them . The acting can be a little ropey at times as well but if you can overlook that some satisfyingly old school gore effects and imaginative storytelling make this a fine slice of 80’s horror.
Barry Newman (204 KP) rated A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) in Movies

The original and by far the best of the Nightmare series. Wes Craven’s film is like most 80’s movies looking a little dated in 2019 particularly in its special effects but to me still holds up very well as an original and unsettling horror thriller that puts a unique supernatural spin on the well established slasher formula. The film’s ace is in it’s boogeyman Freddy Krueger, coming after the silent killers of ‘Halloween’ and ‘Friday the 13th’ Robert Englund’s iconic Freddy actually had a personality and the sequels realising his popularity put him front and centre with much more screen time and subsequently making him considerably less scary . Craven conjures up some memorable kill scenes here and the concept of being vulnerable somewhere seemingly as safe as in your dreams makes for a great horror movie.
