As I read Stealing Harper, I was unaware that it was a novella to a series. Luckily, it didn't feel like a novella, so when I went to write this review, I was surprised to find out it wasn't a standalone. I liked Stealing Harper well enough. I won't lie, I scrolled through the pages a bit, but I will say this: The ending killed me. I had felt cheated out of a proper ending. Now that I'm aware this is part of a series, I'll definitely be reading the other books to find out how the whole story ends!

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)
1971 | Fantasy, Musical
I like this film but it's not my favorite. I think I like Charlie & the Chocolate Factory more and I really can't figure out why. I think Gene Wilder is a great Willy Wonka, I think I just like Johnny Depp's more. I also quite love Freddie Highmore's Charlie. I think this film is a fun watch, just not my favorite. I suppose I'm a bit indifferent.

I have been in such a reading slump and I needed a book with a sure HEA. Kasie West never disappoints in that regard. While I haven't liked a few of her last books I really enjoyed this one.
It was a one sitting read full of cute moments and friendship. Add in a romance and a movie script I wouldn't mind seeing in theatres.

As I've been suicidal myself in the past, I thought I'd have been "triggered" by this. But I found it a enjoyable show with a protagonist I could identify with, thigh I admit I felt quite a bit jealous during "that" scene...

As more of a reader than a watcher, I simply preferred the book. Although I do have to say I was definitely impressed with the film and obviously it did make my eyes tear up towards the end. I think I was just expecting a bit more from it. But as I said, I'm more of a reader ☺️
