What a cool adventure this book turns out to be. It about an earth boy named Gilbert and a martian girl named Aoléon. This story starts out on earth in Gilbert's room. Where he wakes up from a dream. We meet up with meeting Aoléon who enjoys crop circling. She shows up in farmer Johnson wheat field. Gilbert goes find out what just flew though his room brighten his bedroom with light. Then their adventure began once they are followed by farmer Johnson and his dog Tripod.
We meet with several different characters. A Controller named Buzz at US Airbase. I do not want spoil any of fun for though young readers. It gave me a laugh as I was reading it. The characters are fun reading about in his book. Even the president of the United States with his personality and actions. This book is filled with action and adventure book.
The illustration in the book is every colorful. The pictures are down quite well. I would say i really enjoyed the Mars picture when they were flying back to Aoléon home. This book really good for young readers. Anyone that enjoys action and adventures and along with those who enjoy learning about space. The pictures are wonderfully drawn. I enjoy looking at pictures and I even looking at them for a few minutes.

Snakes! Why Did It Have To Be Snakes?
Raiders of the Lost Ark- started the Indiana Jones franchise, off with a bang. Lots of action, adventure, wips and gun fights. Classic sences like.. The Boulder chase, sword vs gun, face melting, taking the lost ark and top secert.
The plot: Epic tale in which an intrepid archaeologist tries to beat a band of Nazis to a unique religious relic which is central to their plans for world domination. Battling against a snake phobia and a vengeful ex-girlfriend, Indiana Jones is in constant peril, making hair's-breadth escapes at every turn in this celebration of the innocent adventure movies of an earlier era.
The film was subsequently nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture, in 1982 and won four (Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction-Set Decoration (Norman Reynolds, Leslie Dilley, and Michael D. Ford)).

Matthew Krueger (10051 KP) rated Lethal Weapon (1987) in Movies
Jul 7, 2020
I'm Too Old For This Shit
Lethal Weapon- is a classic late 80's action flick. This, Die Hard, Terminator, Rambo, all came out in the 80's. Anethor action franchise, that came out and started in the 80's. Catchy one liners, good action, good comedy, good adventure, and of course good actors.
The plot: Following the death of his wife, Los Angeles police detective Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) becomes reckless and suicidal. When he is reassigned and partnered with Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover), Riggs immediately clashes with the older officer. Together they uncover a massive drug-trafficking ring. As they encounter increasingly dangerous situations, Riggs and Murtaugh begin to form a bond. Riggs' volatile behavior might just help them apprehend the criminals -- if it doesn't kill them both first.
What a good way to start off a franchise, hopefully the other ones are good too.

Fun and fast paced
As the first in five this book is a great introduction to the series, with a continued series of another 5 books released as well. I absolutely loved these books and the characters, especially in the second series despite being older than the target demographic. Highly recommend the series if you are into action and adventure books with quick humor and a dash of romance subplot.

Great range of characters (1 more)
Good Sfx for the early 80's
Great fantasy adventure
Before Lord of the Rings this was the closest you got to a fantasy/action epic. Had good SFX for the time of filming '83! It has a wide range of characters and creatures as a group come together to rescue a princess. A little surprise it was a pg rating. Younger kids might find it a bit scary. Featuring a young Robbie Coltrane and Liam Neeson.

It's all been leading to this? The Last Sharknado: It's About Time (2018) #Review
You know what? It’s not the worst Sharknado there’s ever been (*cough* Global Swarming *cough*). Since about the fourth one, the franchise has been attempting a “Fast & Furious”-style genre pivot away from ludicrous environmental survival horror to ridiculous sci-fi action adventure but for that you’d need a Vin Diesel equivalent and the Sharknado budget barely stretches to vin du table...
