Visually amazing, but the book is much better.

Internal dialog is something that can't be shown in a movie, so it's always a crappy voiceover. Read the book. do yourself that favor even if you've seen the movie, it won't really be a spoiler. I've forgotten almost the entire movie anyway. Here's a alternate movie poster from Tom Whalen

Fun little callbacks to the originals

Acting is actually quite good from the newcomers.

The direction is spot on.

This is a fun time at the movies.

This is a very solid addition to the Star Wars franchise. Here's an amazing alternate movie poster in the style of stained glass, which I kinda LOVE.

An amazingly charming Christmas story with lots of childlike wonder.

The over the top charm is part of what makes this movie for me. You gotta buy in and not be a humbug. Probably one of the top 5 modern Christmas classics. if you've not seen it yet, you should. plus an alternate movie poster.
