"His new album is called Carrie & Lowell, and I love it. I love all his albums, but that one is on another level because from start to finish it’s brilliant songwriting and some of the best production I’ve ever heard. The song 'Death With Dignity' has got that acoustic guitar in and out, left and right side, it’s just brilliant. It sounds so lame but every time I hear that song, it just beats the shit out of me. It just bruises my whole body. It’s one of those ones that’s even hard to talk about because it’s so good."

"While most people tout “The Color Purple,” and rightly so, I love, beyond measure, “Possessing the Secret of Joy,” which is a not quite sequel to “The Color Purple” about Tashi, the wife of Celie’s son Adam, and how something that happens to her body at a very young age shapes the rest of her life. This is the novel that taught me how to write fiction with political ambitions. It is searing and wondrous and painful and every time I read it, the ending wrecks me. And still, I go back for more. That’s how important this novel is."

Pet sematary- is a good adaption of the novel by stephen king.

Doctor Louis Creed moves his family to Maine, where he meets a friendly local named Jud Crandall. After the Creeds' cat is accidentally killed, Crandall advises Louis to bury it in the ground near the old pet cemetery. The cat returns to life, its personality changed for the worse. When Louis' son, Gage, dies tragically, Louis decides to bury the boy's body in the same ground despite the warnings of Crandall and Louis' visions of a deceased patient.

Its haunted, terrorfying, scary and overall good.

Top Gun (1986)

"I feel the need. The need... for speed!"

"This is what in call a target rich environment"

"Son, your ego is writing cheques your body can't cash"

1980s action classic (that I was all of 7 when it was released) starring a then up and coming (and young!) Tom Cruise as Maverick, the hotshot pilot who gets a shot at Top Gun: the military training school for the top 1% of naval pilots.

This has a great cast (Michael Ironside, Val Kilmer, Kelly McGillis, Tom Cruise himself) alongside some great aerial battles, but does drag in bits.
