This movie is odd for me. It's seen as a cult classic and a 'must watch' but when I watched it I found myself extremely disappointed.
It's not that the movie is bad, don't get me wrong it's not... But it's so hyped up that you can't help but feel disappointed when the gore level is low and so is the kill count.
Be that as it may it is a good movie. The acting is decent, the plot is good and the characters are memorable. It's also greatly improved for any serial killer nerds like myself when you see all of the connections to Ed Gein throughout the movie and Leatherface being inspired by him. Not to mention the respect you gain for the cast and crew when you see the filming conditions they had to put up with.
So yeah, this movie is good and any horror fan should watch it at least once but..... Don't get your hopes up for a full on blood bath.

Over Hyped
It was lackluster for the entire 2 hours and 20 minutes. The movie was basically "Captain America: The First Avenger" with a mediocre story, an unconvincing lead, and a dumb villain. Chris Pine tries to add a certain panache but every line I heard I just thought of Star Trek. I was disappointed, to say the least, for the scores it's getting.

Its almost as good as the first one, but it depends on what kind of story line you are looking for. I liked this one because this has more of a family friendly story line. It's about teaching kids to get along. It focuses on the kids and the legos as well. It's not a bad movie at all it's just a lot different than the first.

A bit like Alien Nation which in turn is a story about our innate differences and the two cops in this story not only have to come to terms with each other but try to police a world populated by orcs and fairies whilst protecting an Elf, (go figure)
Will Smith turns in a passable performance although I think the movie could have been better, not bad Netflix!

Basically a Netflix Blair Witch
Well the plot wasn't really anything special and like I said it basically just felt like The Blair Witch Project in the end it was a really pretty movie which is kind of weird to walk away with but hey the setting was really great the story wasn't bad just nothing really new.
If you've got nothing to watch definitely check it out on Netflix.

I found this one on Netflix. It looked like it might be better than it was. I tried to get through it, I really did, but the whole thing was terrible. The acting was weak, effects were weaker. The cinematography was just, so-so and the storyline was, well, nonexistent. It's listed as a horror movie but it's so bad it was just sad. This one is NOT worth a watch.

Found this one years ago in some second hand store and bought it for fun. I truly enjoyed it even though (as someone else noted) the mystery part wasn't very suspenseful. But the characters are fun and the story zips along at a fast pace. The movie version (with George Segal) wasn't that bad an adaptation, but the book is always better. Give it a try, yo might find it tasty!

It was alright
Very much a poor version of misery, but in reverse. It brought nothing new to this type of movie. The ending came up really fast as well.
I actually dont think that acting was too bad, but Jennifer's limp was so poorly done it was cringing to watch, but not in the way they intended.
There was an unnecessary back story regarding the detective as well.

Great comedy (3 more)
Relatable villain
John Hughes-esque movie disguised as a superhero movie and I dig it
Lots and lots of references
Best spider Man movie

While Tobey maguire will always be my spider man, Tom Holland is the second best (at Least he's better than Andrew Garfield) and Micheal Keaton is an awesome villain. The cast of side characters are hilarious and the jokes are on point. And the two side characters that stand out to me are Ned and Zendaya's character Michelle which later to be revealed that her nickname is MJ (do I smell an upcoming romance that they'll probably explore more in Far From Home?) Also there's no mention of Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy for those who haven't watched this movie and don't care about spoilers are wondering
Also there are tons of references to the spider Man mythology so make sure your following along.
If I had to pick one negative although not a bad thing its just it tries too much to tie in to the MCU although the stuff with reusing elements of the MCU weapons is kinda cool although Luke cage beat them to that plotline and let me make it clear referencing the universe isn't a bad thing because they bring stuff up that'll be important later on in either the upcoming sequels or the next avengers movies but when they do it constantly it just kinda distracts me but if u love the marvel movies like I do then u won't have a problem.
