More than you'd expect
A surprising twist or two in these pages. Told through multiple POVs some main character, a few that are just observations from not quite random people but still ties into the story. Each person's pov is told to an unknown third party that they occasionally interact with/ talk to as they explain the events that happened so long ago that inspired a song. Some of the names are hard to pronounce like Lal's full name.
From the description and introduction it may seem a love story, which it is in a way, but it's also much more; it's a story about love, death, obligation, loyalty, betrayal, forgiveness, groing

I loved it all. So much fun to see another side to this author. I loved the musician aspect as well. The love, the hardships, the conflicts and the amazing bond between sisters and even through everything they are together. I loved how it ended and the end brought everything together perfectly. The lyrics are amazing.. and I loved Saul. He brought more into this story. The betrayal involved was perfect for the story and made me feel. As always when reading I felt like I was brought into the story. I love that Alexia can make me feel like I transported to the story and I have to finish reading it as soon as possible. Amazing!

This book was a really enjoyable read.
Ultimately a love story, but also a story of loss, dealing with grief, betrayal and personal growth set in a beautiful landscape.
It was an easy read, despite a slightly slow start and once the characters met, the story seemed to pick up and was certainly more engaging.
I loved the format of the writing, the back and forth between Zoe and Martins stories was done very well and even with the retelling of certain parts from the different perspective, the story moved on perfectly.
The extra characters were also great additions, whilst not detracting from the main story of the two main characters.
I would definitely recommend this book.
