One of the Best Movies of the Year

This book-to-screen story is like candy to my nerd girl heart. After watching the movie I immediately read the book. #bookwasbetter but the movie is incredible. It's visual effects and cinematic elements will leave viewers captivated and begging for more.

The first film is definitely one of the best book to screen adaptions that I have seen. It captured the magical atmosphere so well and brought the characters to life. The magic in this film makes me happy every time I watch it.

Unlike so many of the books that make it to the small screen, Mortal Engines did very well in my opinion. A key requirement for a book to make it as a movie is keeping the storyline as close as possible to it's origins. Mortal Engines achieved this goal with only minor tweeks to allow the screen time to fit the general length. The actress who played Hester Shaw was thr very embodiment of the character. Though her facial scar wasn't as near as hideous as described. A point of contention was the fact that Bevis and Catherine survived the movie while in the book they were killed in the destruction of Medusa.

The film was alright but it was so different to the book, I know that they have to adapt books to fit the script for the screen but so much was missed out or altered. In the book there are several characters who only appear for a while but they have a main part to play in the second and third book, these people did not appear at all in the film, that is probably why the other two have not yet been made as it would now be difficult to incorporate these characters.

Epic, magnificent, fun

Right where do i begin. I would recommend watching it in Imax as the sound of the car race has so much depth and just big 3d screen amazing.
The book is great and how they converted it to big screen well done Spielberg and cline excellently done.
The film follows a interesting guy who gathers a group of friends to save the oasis. Feel good fun energetic and blast from the past
