We all know the story, but I haven't watched the original one for many years and don't remember much about it. This is actually quite good although some of the CGI didn't quite work and looked dated but I expect that was to keep in with the theme. Having not read or seen much of the blurb about the film, I was nicely surprised by the number of stars who appear in it, of course you don't get to see them until the end. The only problem is having grown up watching the Harry Potter films I kept expecting Emma Watson to cast a spell but that is probably because I haven't seen much of her other films. Watch it.

I haven't played the games, of which a third is due out soon?! So I can only merit it as a film in its own right. Aware of poor reviews, I wasn't aware too much of the story behind the games, other than a cop who hands out his own rough justice. It was an interesting film but I think most expected a lot more action, or maybe more blood and violence. Instead it's more of a film noir thriller. The visuals are impressive, not just the cgi angels but the overall cinematography. The action gets better towards the end with a good shoot-out, but overall it needed a bit more throughout. A good surprising cast line up though!

All on board for a train full of Zombies
Wow! What a film!.A zombie film that actually delivers thrilling action scenes..characters you can care about and doesn't rely on CGI special effects.
The story is simple with an outbreak of a virus that infects people and turns them into raging zombies. The main character is on the aforementioned train taking his daughter to her mother for her birthday when all hell starts breaking loose.
I dare anyone not to get a lump in their throat when it comes to the ending.
An awesome movie that deserves to be seen by all before the inevitable piss poor american remake comes along.

Amazing, instant classic
Let it be known I am a huge comic fan. I love the fact these movies are being reinvented and reimagined. The Avengers has left nothing to imagination, a brilliant way to introduce so many characters and giving so many ways for the industry to veer off in to.
The performances by the actors is phenomenal along with the visual effects.
The only downside is that I found the middle of the film a little drab, it seemed to take a little longer than I would of liked and slowed everything down a little much. The visual effects were brilliant however I just wish the storyline throughout the middle matched these ratings.

That detective, is the right question.
In the year 2035 A.I. robots are an every part of life throughout the world, working public jobs in place of humans with three rules, number 1 being to protect human life. Most people trust these robots except for one man, detective Del spooner who has a dark past involving robots. Del takes on a case involving a possible suicide of the robotics founder/creator and believes a human like A.I. May be involved.
With help of a robot expert, spooner discovers a conspiracy that may endanger the human race.
This movie has a dark tone, some great cgi work but a story similar to previous movies like terminator and Extinction.
Starring Will Smith, Alan Tudyk, James Cromwell and Bridget Moynahan.

Awix (3310 KP) rated Young Sherlock Holmes (1985) in Movies
Feb 17, 2018 (Updated Feb 17, 2018)
It's doubtful whether anybody ever wished for a lavish Indiana Jones-style adventure film concerning Sherlock Holmes' youth, but if they had then this would have answered it nicely. Good production values, well-mounted action, ground-breaking use of CGI in some sequences.
The film explicitly acknowledges it's not sticking to the Conan Doyle canon, but still comes closer to the pulpy tone of some of the original stories than many more superficially faithful adaptations, and many very famous actors have been much worse as Sherlock Holmes than Nicholas Rowe is here. Writer Chris Columbus went on to do the first couple of Harry Potter films, which have a very similar tone to this. Rather charming, and very difficult to dislike.

Spielberg's eek-it's-a-dinosaur adventure movie may not have the gobsmack value it once possessed when photo-realistic CGI had yet to rule the earth, but still stands up well due to traditional storytelling virtues, retains the power to irritate palaeontologists with its dubious approach to nomenclature.
Billionaire with mysterious background (i.e. Lord Attenborough's accent wanders a bit) plans to open high-tech theme park with real live dinosaurs; clearly hasn't seen Westworld; chasing about ensues. Long build-up before the biting starts to happen, but Spielberg's corralling of the action sequences is masterly and the casting is extremely good. Still not sure it warranted five whole sequels, but that's what a massive box office take gets you, I suppose.

Bad mustache, decent movie
The impressive cast assembled for this film is definitely the high point in this latest remake. "Perfect" looking movies like this are always very pretty, but almost too good. The train/outdoor CGI looked a little fake to me and took me out of the film during a few of the outdoor shots.
The acting was all very good and the complicated story was interesting and kept me guessing as to the eventual perpetrator; however, I thought it was a tad anticlimactic.
The suspects slowly reveal their motives and partial truths which make the ending a little more interesting.
Overall, I was never bored while watching, but just thought it was missing something which kept it from greatness.

Just have to admire not only the technical craft on display, but the clear love for it by Serkis who has built a career involving some of the most iconic performances via motion capturing - here directing himself and an entire cast of elites through the same technology. I was looking forward to the darker answer to the similarly bland and daft Disney version but that one at least looked cute. This one - for whatever that means - is a full-bodied Netflix movie in all the worst ways: so inconsequential, so drab, so generic, home to tons of slimy CGI, and the voice acting is somehow as shallow as the 2016 one. That Benedict Cumberbatch tiger is supposed to look villainous but it looks hilariously silly.

Pointless Reboot of a classic
So yet another pointless reboot of a beloved horror franchise turns out to be a load of crap.
This film lacked any of the originality, suspense or sheer fun of the original. There was very little horror in it,just gore for the sake of gore.As for the "new" chucky well where to start...first what was mark hamil thinking lending his voice to this pile of crap,he made chucky sound like a constipated tellytubby and that bloody annoying song he kept singing really got on my nerves.
Just everything about this movie was horrible, thank god we still have the original chucky to come back soon in a tv series.
