Categorical drivel, nonsense almost solely for the sake of nonsense. Emo time-traveling ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ช๐ค๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ถ๐ต๐บ + ๐๐ธ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ท๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐บ๐ด that feels like a Marcy Playground music video which basically acts as a one hour forty-three minute essay on why dying kind of blows. Sort of awesome, though if there's any supposed underseen masterpiece here as I was led to believe, I haven't found it. Don't get me wrong, there are brilliant concepts here - the whole idea of the titular womblike jacket system is tantalizing, and in numerous instances this portrays a very clever way in which the people in your past manifest into your future and can either help you or haunt you depending on the choices you've once made towards them. But none of it is developed enough, this feels like one of those movies that was really promising until it got whittled away to scraps by the studios - but that wasn't the case? Idk I still liked it - I'm glad this wasn't condescending and purposefully cold like it probably would have been were it made today - but I just wanted it to be longer, man.

It's been years since we last visited with Molly, and I have missed her. Within pages, it was like no time had passed. Unfortunately, some of the bad remained, like how Daniel can run hot and cold, especially when it comes to Mollyโs investigation. I get that it is accurate for the time, but can he grow out of it, please? However, there are other times I loved his character. Molly is her usual strong self, and the supporting players are as fun as always. The pacing was a little uneven early on, but it got much stronger as it went along. The solution was perfectly logical and wonderfully page turning. I hope we havenโt heard the last of Molly.

There is a lot going on here, but I never had trouble following the story at all. Iโm impressed with how everything comes together at the end without dropping any of the plot points along the way. The characters we already know are wonderful, and it is great to see their relationships growing. The new characters feel real, even though they donโt get that much page time. This book is on the more serious side of the cozy spectrum, but thatโs just an observation, not a warning. I was actually frustrated that life kept getting in the way of my reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. Fans will be pleased. If that isnโt you yet, start this series today.
