Stephen Chbosky is a Genius.
A very sweet, coming of age film with a bitter twist at the end.
Logan Lerman is a very believable actor and from the beginning I am on his side, to do well, to succeed in love and life. I would have loved to be Charlie's friend.
Emma Watson in my opinion, is perfection personified. She plays Sam very well.
Paul Rudd plays Mr Anderson - and he is a shining star in this already amazing cast, downplayed and lovable.

Anothrr Film 4 offering which I only ended up watching as I misread Emma Roberts for Emma Watson! Not that I have anything against Roberts but generally her films have been for kids. Anyhow I watched it and I was glad I did. Roberts and Franco have good chemistry and carry the movie well. There is a good moral to this story which is very relevant in this day and age.

Tom Hanks... need i say more (2 more)
Karen Gillan (hot)
The idea behind the film
How the film was as a whole, could have been alot better (3 more)
Emma Watson
Without ruining it, the finish could have been alot better
The attempt at comedy
Could have been alot better
Maybe this would have been alot better without Emma watson, we will never find out. But in my opinion, it says alot when karen Gillan was by far the better actress and sadly had half the screen time compared with Watson.
As per normal, Hanks was brilliant in his role and what made it even better was you get to see his darker side.
Overall, as a thriller, theres a crushing lack of suspense.
The idea was brilliant, the film was not. I had high hopes when watching but ended somewhat disappointed.

I was personally really excited to watch the live action Beauty and the Beast. It was my favorite Disney movie growing up, and I'm a huge Emma Watson fan, so I figured nothing could go wrong. I ended up not being overly impressed. There were some good things about it, of course. The CGI was impressive, the music was excellent, and everyone other than Emma Watson were extremely talented singers.
That is where my first complaint comes into play. In my opinion, the Disney Princess shouldn't be the least talented person in the film. Her voice was very clearly edited and it sounded bad. Along with that, I feel like Emma Watson made some other mistakes that took away from the movie. I'm aware that she was involved in making costume decision for her role, and I think she made a huge mistake. Frankly, Belle's dress was a disappointment to me, and many of the other things she wore were unimpressive as well in comparison to the elegant gowns worn by everyone else.
The added backstory for Belle also seemed forced and unnecessary to me. It was underdeveloped and didn't really need to be there.
