Great plot
Fantastic series!
I wasnt really sure what this series was going to be like when I started watching it, but it's really great! It's gripping, interesting, tense and will keep you hooked! I watched it very quickly, each episode leaves you wanting more.
The actors are mostly children, but this doesn't dampen the series at all; they're brilliant!! I actually found it very refreshing to watch a series with talented child actors and loved the entire cast! I really liked Winona Rider in this series also.
The plot itself felt very original and can be quite scary at times! It's very intriguing and will absolutely keep you hooked! I haven't watched or read anything quite like it, so definitely interesting. Definitely worth watching!!

Great Animation
A fun movie for everybody
The only kind of movie that I have ever fell asleep watching in the cinema, is a kid’s movie, but there is no chance of you falling asleep during this one. Funny, witty and a lot of fun. The animation is fantastic, the voice acting is on point and if you are a pet owner the whole thing becomes more relatable and even funnier. This is how to make a great kids film, it doesn’t just totally appeal to the kids and ignore the adults watching, but it is also totally family friendly and the characters are all well written, well voiced and they all bounce off of each other very well to make probably the best kids movie I’ve seen this year.

Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Chronicle of the Mound Builders in Books
Jan 12, 2018
[Chronicle of the Mound Builders] by [Elle Marie] is a fast paced, thought provoking ride. The tie between the past and the present using a female archaeologist as one of the main protagonists is a different take on a mystery.
As someone who if familiar with the Cahokia Mounds and the mystery that surrounds them I personally found the plot of this story intriguing. The characters were believable even in some of the more fantastic elements. It all fit together.
I could have done without the sex scene because it seemed gratuitous but I get that is common in fiction today. The story could stand very well on its own without that though.
I have recommended this book to my sister who is an anthropologist and a big [Elizabeth Peters] fan.

A Tale Worth Telling
Before this show came out I didn't know much about it, but after the first few episodes dropped and the buzz around the show began, I looked into it and decided to give it a go. I can certainly say that I'm glad I did.
This is a dark twisted tale, taking place in a near future dystopia. We follow a young woman called June, who's life is turned around when new laws are brought in that essentially brings America back to the dark ages. She is resilient though and she won't give up and won't stop fighting back, which is gripping to see play out.
If you are looking for an exciting thriller to make you think, check this out.

Sarah (7800 KP) rated Final Fantasy XV in Video Games

Epic
This is the first Final Fantasy I've played since X-2, and I was worried it had changed too much for me to like it anymore, but my worries were unfounded.
This is a fantastic game. Not for people who don't like RPGs, but if you love side quests and epic stories, then this is a great game to play. The world itself is immense, the effects are brilliant and the game play time is very worth the money. Although I've finished the main story, I still haven't finished all of the side quests!
My only negatives about this game is the dialogue and the ending. Playing lots of side quests etc means the talking gets very repetitive. And without giving anything away, the ending was just beyond depressing.

Sarah (7800 KP) rated Dog Soldiers (2002) in Movies
Sep 11, 2017 (Updated Dec 24, 2018)
This is one of those small relatively unknown horror films that you watch with little to no expectations, and end up being pleasantly surprised. This is a hilariously funny take on a werewolf film, with a fantastic British cast, lots of blood and guts and is a great debut for Neil Marshall. The old school effects are also make for a refreshing change. There are some great one liners in this that are quotable for a long time afterwards. Sean Pertwee is a great actor and does brilliantly in this, alongside Kevin McKidd and Davos Seaworth himself, Liam Cunningham. This harks back to the days of trashy effects and a silly storyline, and doesn’t take itself too seriously either, giving a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable 2 hours for the watcher.

Tearjerker, exploring a young boy's grief
This was an unexpected little gem of a drama showing how a boy, who is having to deal with tremendous trauma, manifests his grief.
From being bullied, abandoned and dealing with a mother dying from cancer, one day a monster in the form of a tree visits him to reveal various tales with a moral context. These come in the form of beautiful animations, not too dissimilar from The Three Brothers sequence in one of the final Harry Potter films. What we have to establish is whether the boy is actually encountering this monster or whether it is part of his repressed emotions.
Acting from the entire cast including Felicity Jones and more so the young child actor was fantastic. An interesting watch.

Suswatibasu (1703 KP) rated Narconomics: How to Run a Drug Cartel in Books
Sep 12, 2017
A Dummies guide to understanding and quashing the worldwide drugs trade
What a fantastic book. Tom Wainwright manages to describe the global drug cartels as a business economic model which makes total sense. It is not just the violence and torture, it’s the revelations about the level of managerial stress. Running a drugs cartel, it seems, is not only a moral and legal minefield but a human resources, marketing and supply chain nightmare. The gang-centric tattoos that cartel foot-soldiers sport, were instigated to prevent staff jumping to another outfit or, worse, going straight.
Wainwright makes clear that those seeking to stop the drugs trade fail due to their insistence on treating it like a war, when they should treat it like a market manipulation. Such a clever book.

Haley Mathiot (9 KP) rated Pointe Shoes Tips and Tricks in Books
Apr 27, 2018
I was very satisfied with Pointe Shoes: Tips and Tricks. It was packed full of more information than I expected and thought possible in such a small book (it's a quarter inch thick, perfect size for a dance bag). There were sections on how to pick the right pare, info and history about pointe shoes, tips and tricks, and physical therapy exercises on how you can fix up and strengthen your feet.
The main section of the book, the tips and tricks, is on how you can cut, sew, trim edit, change, and fix shoes to make them fit the foot exactly. Some of these tips I encourage you to use for your flat shoes too!
Pointe Shoes Tips and Tricks is a fantastic resource that every intermediate/advanced pointe dancer and teacher should have!

I Judge This to be Another Excellent Book
Kinsey is surprised to be hired once again by California Fidelity. They’ve just paid out a claim on Wendell Jaffe’s life insurance five years after his supposed dead at sea only to hear he’s been spotted down in Mexico. Kinsey locates Jaffe only to have him vanish again. Can she prove he is still alive?
This is another fantastic mystery. The characters are strong and help pull us in. The story itself has plenty of twists and turns before we reach the climax. We have some time for updates from the series regulars, and I love what is happening there. Kinsey also stumbles on a surprise in her personal life. I’m curious to see how this sub-plot plays out in future novels.
