Erika (17789 KP) rated Captain Marvel, Volume 2: Down in Books
Feb 24, 2018 (Updated Feb 24, 2018)
Another good Captain Marvel volume. I absolutely love the art in this particular volume. Issue 9 is by far my favorite, when she's just carrying around Chewie (her cat), doing Captain Marvel stuff. I also always like when Monica shows up in a Captain Marvel comic.

This book completely captivated me, read in one day!
I have read Giovanna's last book, Billy and Me, and I must admit that I enjoyed this one much more.
It was an easy read that seemed to end far too quickly. I was not left disappointed.

Joelene Marie (28 KP) rated Break in Case of Emergency in Books

Disappointing. One of the most highly anticipated novels on my summer reading list yet fell far short of expectations. I was unimpressed with both the writing style and the plot, it was simply boring. Although it has earned rave reviews from many it just wasn't for me.

3rd book in the Cal Leandros series and, while it still took me a while to get used to the narrators voice, I think this is the best in her series so far: before I realised it, I was 3/4 of the way through the novel!
My third Stephen king book that I've read, I found this one far more captivating than Christine. Although not as suspenseful as Misery. I read it for the topic of supernatural for my monthly book club. I felt that this was one of his more relatable books.
