Not as good as the book
Ready player one was decent, but the book was so much better. If I keep writing, this will end up as a comparison of what the book was that the movie wasn't. I don't want to do that. It was good and enjoyable but you may feel its somewhat lacking. Possibly due to the epic storyline thats crammed into a 2 hour movie. Still i would recommend you see it. Just read the book after. ?

Silly but good fun
I think you have to be in the mood for a silly feel good film to really enjoy - we definitely were. The family seems to be fairly real despite the start being very rushed and not allowing for too much emotion to build.
It was very silly and fun. Made us laugh on a few occasions.
The 14 year old seems much older than I would say a 14 year old should be and a lot of scenes seem focused on her.

Great location (1 more)
Basic plot was good
Ending was a let down (1 more)
Felt like there were a few plot holes
Could have been better
I was looking forward to this as it's been a while since there has been a good cop, serial killer film. It has a good cast and nice, picturesque setting in Norway. Overall I did enjoy it and I haven't read the book to compare it to. It does feel like a few plot lines aren't explained fully... I'm sure parts in the trailer aren't even in the film? The ending was a let down though after the build up. A good film that had great potential.

Cast chemistry
Great Rom/Com
As Rom-coms go this is one of the better ones of the last few years. Kinda mixing @Meet the Parents (2000) with @The Devil Wears Prada (2006) Most reviews seem split on the two leads, personally I think they do have a good chemistry in this. Along with a great setting, a strong cast including the funny Betty White (Goldengirls) make this a pleasing film. It is predictable, aren't they all? It does have some good laughs along the way as the love-hate-love relationship unfolds. It's an enjoyable feel good comedy with two good leads.
Lindsay (1717 KP) rated The Berenstain Bears Bedtime Devotional: Includes 90 Devotions in Books
Feb 15, 2018 (Updated Apr 9, 2019)
The Berenstain Bears Bedtime Devotional The Berenstain Bears Bedtime Devotional is a good book for young readers. It appears a collection from different Titles of the Berenstain Bears. It got a Christian theme throughout the book. It is a good one for young children.
If parents want to settle down their children this would be good for them to listen to. Children can learn to read through this book as well. You can read any story that you feel is best for you and your children if you want to.
Each story has a life lesson for children to learn and listen to. It is good for family gatherings.

A Christmas film to miss
If you are looking for a GOOD feel good Christmas movie, give this a miss. I struggled to watch this to the end, and I am a self confessed Christmas movie junkie.
The acting is poor, stilled and stunted. The story line is sickeningly bad and very unbelievable. The only semi good thing was the beautiful house, scenery and town.
There are a couple of familiar faces (one being the female doc from Stargate) but even that didn't make the film watchable.
Life is short, we all want to sit down and watch a good Christmas movie, this not the one you want.

Found it a little confusing in the beginning but soon got into it. I do enjoy Rebecca Zanetti's work, her characters are good and the description of post apocalyptic LA makes you feel as if your there. Roll on September for book 2 in The Scorpius Syndrome Series
