Crowned is the fourth book in the Beholder series, and it does need to be read in order to get the full enjoyment from the storylines.

Elea and Rowan are true mates, and have shared their magick, creating hybrid magick. When the Casters throw the 'greatest celebration ever', Elea is chosen to speak with two trickster gods. They agree to help her end the tyranny of the Sire and the Lady, but at a cost. Elea doesn't realise the true cost of their help until it is too late.

This is a fast-paced book, with action on more fronts than Elea would like. Not only does she have to fight to find the Sword of Theodora, she learns more about her history, which is a shock in itself. Also, something has happened to Rowan, so she is fighting for their bond too. However, old friends that she thought gone for good show up, and help her along the way. And Jicho is also there, helping however he can.

Well written, this book has smooth pacing, and a storyline that will keep you turning the pages.

Insidious experiments are being carried out at Arlington Asylum, and the only way the inmates ever leave is inside a body bag.

Adrian is a prisoner here. And he is next on the list to receive the strange medicine that is being administered. Medicine that causes certain... changes... to those who take it.

If he is to survive, Adrian must find his self-worth and start fighting for his life while chaos erupts in the asylum around him.

Because these experiments open up a gateway to a place worse than hell. And the nightmarish inhabitants of that place break through and intend to tear our world apart.

Can Adrian stand against impossible odds and end this threat before it's too late?

Buy Tormented now, because you will love this violent and gruesome tale filled with horror, monsters, and buckets of gore. Not for the faint of heart.

I bloody loved it! This was some crazy bloody violent creature feature!! It would make a really good gory film! The monsters are so vividly written you can actually visualise them clearly! It isn’t normally my type of horror I usually get a little bored but this left no prisoners and gave no happy ending which is why I loved it!

The Raid (2011)
The Raid (2011)
2011 | Action

"The Raid. Come on, man, THE RAID! It’s insane. I’m a fighter, and I love and grew up on fighting movies. I mean, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, those are my guys; Jean Claude Van-Damme, those are my guys. But this new cat, Iko Uwais, I mean, he’s fantastic. He is a great actor, but at the same time a great martial artist. They had so many great martial artists, so many great athletes, in this film, and what I loved about it was the raw nature in which they shot it. The fight scenes were done so well we believed all of it. You know, there’s not too many high-flying wire tricks. As a fighter I can appreciate when somebody does a scene so perfectly that it looks like a tangible fight, because I know what it’s like to be in the ring with somebody. First of all, fights don’t last that long, and when people fight there’s a lot more getting beat up and weary than we see often times in film. But this one made it so cool. I said, “Wow, here’s something that teaches me how to do this in a new way, something that teaches me how to perfect the idea of action.” I think it’s one of the best action films. Hands down."

Strong female lead...check.
Two, hot, sexy male aliens....check.
Recipe for hot alien sex and action.....Oh hell yeah!!

Hers, times two is book four in what looks to be a cracking series! I've read it as a standalone as I've not read the first three books.... considering I'm wanting to know what happens next I'll be heading off to get the others pretty sharpish.

Liz is cool, confident and feisty, but, like the rest of us, she's fighting her own demons. Demons which put her and her crew in the path of danger. Not her fault but she really takes it to heart.
I really like her, she's a dedicated friend and is an awesome pilot. She does annoy me a little as she tries to take too much responsibility for things she had no control over and beats herself up for it.....

Jackal and Zaster......the hot, sexy aliens.....and typical idiots that take forever to pluck up the courage to approach the woman of their dreams. I'll let them off though as they more than make up for it and the more we get to know and understand them it's easy to see why they're who they are.

I was entertained from start to finish and I even cried a few times, I'm such a softie haha

Satanic Panic (2019)
Satanic Panic (2019)
2019 | Comedy, Horror
Satanic Panic is a horror-comedy that depicts the world's rich elite as Satan worshiping cultists who would love nothing more than to bring about the end of days. Relatable then!
The "eat the rich" concept is a tried and tested method of giving a movie some hateful antagonists, and Satanic Panic does it well, as a working class pizza delivery girl stumbles upon said cult, and quickly finds herself fighting for her life as the cultists seek to use her virginity as a method to bring about Baphomet and blah blah blah, you've surely heard this one before.

My main gripe with this movie is precisely that - it offers nothing new to the table. That, and the fact that it's low budget prevents us from seeing any demonic creatures, which is a shame.
Honestly though, apart from these negatives, Satanic Panic is actually a lot of fun. It's got a good sense of humour, a likeable heroine in Hayley Griffith, some pretty nasty practical gore effects here and there, and a somewhat cheap but charming aesthetic.
The cast also includes Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O' Connell, and a few horror mainstays such as Jordan Ladd, Ruby Modine and Jeff Daniel Phillips.

You could do a lot worse, and Satanic Panic does just about enough to scramble above the depths of horror shittiness.

𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘱𝘵𝘰. Visciously non-entertaining and laborious. There needs to be some honorary award granted to anyone who can finish this shit without turning it off, seriously. Super dodgy CGI aside, how can a film with such stunning locales and costumes still look like total shit until the last act? The video quality at times resembles a pirated DVD rip. Besides that, vigorously rote - another utterly faceless underdog story about destiny or heroism or selflessness or whatever, who cares? There's a scene early on where the characters are fighting some uglyass dinosaurs in cartoonish-looking tall grass (by the way, the ONLY time dinosaurs are used in this B.C. ACTION MOVIE) which is one of the worst looking things ever spat onto a screen. He at least tries here but I can't believe there was ever a time where Steven Strait was eyed as lead material. Among the most palled ways you could have excecuted this, Emmerich is in full 𝘔𝘪𝘥𝘸𝘢𝘺 mode here: an out-and-out non-movie peddled off as entertainment through bloat and blind, unremarkable action. Watchable for maybe 15 minutes but bland in the extreme. Lest we even mention how it breaks up its subtitle lines into like 4 syllables a piece before switching because it assumes whoever is watching this must be an idiot.
