I have to say that I wasn't too sure about this when I found it was being made, but I watched it on Sky Cinema last night and I still prefer the original version from the 40s. The new version just didn't seem to have the same comedic timing and comedy. Shame really.

Helpful, though not entirely intuitive
It's a useful app if you don't have a number of other apps. I imagine Alexa is much more intuitive. Some things it was very helpful for (ex. My wife breeds snake and when asked how to treat snake burns it found and recited accurate information). On the other hand I asked how many QuikTrip are between my home and work. It brought me a Wikipedia of the wrong company.

The games were very simple. Not the worst thing if you are passing the time. On the other hand, not great.

The news was good. I brought it down to pretty specific and broad terms and it always found good and current (less than 24hours) on the topic.

Forgettable characters
One huge commercial
I loved Wreck It, Ralph, so that might be why I wasn't too big of a fan of this sequel. Where the first film had a warmth about it, this one is just cold. The obvious advertisements took away from the story, what little there was of a story. The internet, while supposed to look like a place of wonder, looked dull & uninteresting. Even the Twisted Metal (or GTA) world, was nothing special. And the characters found within were forgettable to say the least. I found over-all the film was okay, but I would watch the first one again & again, while this one, I probably wouldn't watch again at all.

True Story
First published in 1979 – The Uninvited is the true story of an ordinary family living in South Wales who found themselves entangled in a series of unearthly encounters in 1977. At first the manifestations were minor. UFOs were sighted in the area, huge burnt patches were found in the fields, television sets and cars blew all of their wiring…but before long the Coombs family was visited by weird lights, huge white figures and a glowing disembodied hand. Their lives were disrupted and they were terrified by something unidentifiable and unimaginable. They were a focus for The Uninvited. For the first time in decades, the book has been revised and renewed with all new additional content and digitally enhanced photographs.
