I'm struggling between giving this a 6 or a 7. I settled on 7 because it's not necessarily entertaining, but 100% thought provoking. Some of the metaphorical journeys were difficult to unravel, but the allegorical shaping of the tale set in post Arthurian England was intriguing. I found that once I started the novel, I had to find out how it ended no matter what.

The new French restaurant in the village is the latest victim of the arsonist hitting the area. Only this time, a body is found in the aftermath. The colorful characters are back in full force and the plot is another great puzzle.

When I found out that part of Warzones would involve the X-Men circa the early 1990s cartoon, I was psyched. Cue the crazy theme song. Jubilee was my favorite.
Though, it didn't really end up delivering, as far as I'm concerned. I wanted it to be so much better, but it was just an average story. At least they kept all characters' looks the same.

Better the 2nd time
The first viewing had me in love with the soundtrack, but had a tricky time staying engaged to the story. Upon watching the film a second time I found I enjoyed it more. Wonderful production value, the visuals were beautifully shot, and the music is catchy and will get stuck in your head(in a good way)

This was a really cute novel. I really enjoyed reading it. It was predictable but that is to be expected when a novel is based off of a fairy tale. I found myself engrossed in this novel. It was a nice escape from reality. I will definitely look into reading more novels by this author. The writing was spectacular, and it was very imaginative.

The Ritual (2017)
The Ritual (2017)
2017 | Horror
I kind of guessed the way this film would go by way of the title, but I was pleasantly surprised. I found myself hooked from the beginning and unsure about what was happening and why. I thought the cast were strong and felt the emotions coming from them. There isn't too much explanation about the situation which draws away from the actual story and tension builds throughout.

Fascinating
I found this series on Amazon. It's a collection of stories about real historical incidents that took place that sparked the life of some of mankind's legends and myths. Very interesting and thought provoking look into our past as humans and how things(like science and beliefs) have changed over the centuries. With a watch if you are into documentaries told with actors, animation and art!

The Monuments Men (2014)
The Monuments Men (2014)
2014 | Action, Drama
I can't say this is the most exciting film, I think there could have been more action, but it is based on a true story and the cast is decent. A bit confusing at times as the men are split into couples which go off separately to explore but nevertheless I was unaware of the real "Monuments Men" and found the story to be interesting.

Hotel Artemis (2018)
Hotel Artemis (2018)
2018 | Action, Crime, Sci-Fi
The premise of this movie was great, but, it was just a muddled mess. The Hotel Artemis is a Continental-like place, as seen in John Wick. It didn't really work at all. The only character I found mildly interesting was Sofia Boutella's character. This could have been so good, but it seriously dropped the ball. No wonder it did so poorly at the box office.

Oh what a twist! Fabulous book.
I loved the characters and how everything fit together nicely. There was the right balance of humour and drama, the right balance of dialogue versus descriptive prose and all round very well written.
