Probably nobody's favourite Bond film, but it doesn't deserve the stick it gets for supposedly putting the franchise on hiatus for half a decade (behind the scenes issues at MGM/UA were responsible for the delay). A gritty tale of drug-dealing and vengeance, rather closer to the tone of Ian Fleming than any Bond film in twenty years; not that different in tone from some parts of the Daniel Craig era.
The complaint that it just doesn't feel like a Bond movie - too much crunch, not enough glitter - has some truth to it, and Dalton is arguably playing it all just a bit too straight, but the action sequences are well-mounted and it moves along pacily enough. Also has a scene where Benicio del Toro gets squelched by giant spiked wheels, so much to enjoy here on many levels (only joking, Benny).

Not the ending I was hoping for
Knew I would be hooked when I saw "From the makers of Line Of Duty"

I like how the show addresses an important fact that in reality it's very easy these days for people to influence others with the use of the internet/social media.
When I saw the trailer for this series I thought it was just going to be another typical kidnap style show but I like the fact that Lennie James' character is actually arrested on suspicion of kidnapping his own daughter who he hasn't seen in over 10 years, and eventually becomes the character who does the most to try and find his daughter.
The ending was not what I was expecting and could probably have been worked differently but I appreciate they have set it up for another series.

Edouard Cours' take on Herakles is more than worth it. Notably different than the Hercules you are used to seeing on the Disney Channel, Herakles is meant for the adult reader as it follows the mythos. With nudity and the humor to match, this is probably not something you would want you kids to get a hold of, but oh boy should YOU! Just the artwork alone is incredible. the colors were dark and gritty in a good way, helping set the tone for the comic and giving you a sense of how Herakles sees his world.
The story is done well, taking the legend that is Herakles and adding to it. The language used is modern, which makes this an easier read, though you can go pages at a time here and not see a single word and still have the story progress.

Suspenseful story line
Compelling plot
Our survivors have fought off the dead, the wailers and there own kind to make it out to the Mallard Hill. It’s no oasis either...just more humans being beasts.
Prospect Heath virtually implodes, finding and retrieving Sadie becomes the major agenda as it doesn’t look like they are going to achieve a cure any other way.
Characters are developed at a lightening speed, their mutations are not these ‘now I’m a super hero’ but far more gritty, (gross) and so very real. Paul’s mutation makes my skin crawl!
The stakes just get higher as more people are picked off and the big TWIST, but I won’t say what that is. I will let you enjoy the ‘OMG’ moment when you find out who project Re-gen really is...and all that it implies!
Excuse me everyone, Book 3 awaits!!

Truly a movie worth seeing in the theater, best of this year by far!
I don't love war movies and I was hesitant to see it, as watching large amounts of people shooting and killing each other doesn't make me happy. But this movie is about surviving, and going on, and making the best of things, and doing your job. It's also about heroism, and humanity. Yes it is beautiful and gritty and uncomfortable, it's all things you think it should be. This might even be one of the best movies I've seen in multiple years.... I'd have to think on it some more, but this is one of the most satisfied times I've ever left a movie theater feeling. And a great date night film, ripe for discussion afterwards over dinner, or dessert.
Lee KM Pallatina (951 KP) rated Extraction (2020) in Movies

Action man
A hard hitting action packed gritty and violent movie that goes full adrenaline junkie in a very short time, that even when the plot slows, it isn't for long and doesn't feel any slower.
The movie is very 'John Wick' with its melee combat which is a bonus & Hemsworth has nicely shrugged off the thor status and adjusted to action star nicely.
Although an excellent movie it isn't without its downside, in this case it's the lack of dialogue/communication between the "hero team" during an extraction which felt a little odd in my opinion.
Plot:Chris hemsworth stars as A black-market mercenary who is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned powerful crime lord. But in the chaotic underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, another brush with death is just around the corner.
