This is a short, tender, and poignant story about a young girl in a small town, cursed by rumour and circumstance. With a life filled with sadness, she takes her moments of happiness whenever she can, in the keys she finds which have been left by her mother. She is given a riddle to solve, but struggles. She finds friendship, and more, in a young neighbour - one she has never spoken to before. Is this the change in her life that she has been so desperately wanting?

Ladybird, Ladybird is exceptionally well written, with a storyline that will tug at your heartstrings. This book is an unexpected treasure, one to be savoured again and again. Highly recommended.

This one is Sin's - Sinead! - story, Lore(n)'s sister and the only female Seminus demon in existence.

We get to know her a lot more in this one and I feel sorry for a lot of the crap she went through. She tries to be this strong woman who can deal with everything but she doesn't want to be. So thank God for Con - who we met in Lore's book, Ecstasy Unveiled - and who Sin had sex with.

As a dhampire, a vampire/werewolf hybrid, Con is immune to the werewolf shifter virus which Sin unwittingly started in the last book and a great candidate to help start a vaccine against it by using his blood. The only downside to it is that as a dhampire, Con is susceptible to blood addiction if he drinks from the same donor too often yet he needs to keep drinking Sin's blood to fuel his resistance.

Feelings start to emerge beyond their physical attraction as the two are forced to spend so much time together and get to know each other. How he demands that she feel things instead of letting her body do it's physical pain release by bleeding. They'd both been through so much in their long lives and they deserved happiness.

They had a few ups and downs in this. Con had responsibilities within the shifter and dhampire communities and Sin was donating blood and trying to help those infected by the virus before they died and also to her assassin den.

And then let's not forget that last chapter! How cute was that with Lore? I've really fallen for this extended family. They all deserve happiness and I'm really glad they've all found it.

I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Lindsey Stirling is an electronic violinist based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, she released a music video for her “Underground” single.

The Tom Teller-directed music video finds Lindsey Stirling inside a futuristic dystopia which features neon lights and acrobatic dancers.

Her “Underground” single contains adventurous instrumentation centered around her immaculate violin performance.
Also, the four-and-half-minute tune is a somber and enticing introduction to her upcoming studio album, entitled, “Artemis”.

“There have been times of my life where I have felt completely overcome by the ‘shadow’ of grief or depression. I felt like I’d never feel full happiness again. But the moon has taught me a powerful lesson. Just because she gets covered in shadow doesn’t mean she isn’t still there, and that she won’t fight back to reclaim her full light. Also, Artemis is the goddess of the moon. This album tells her story. It tells my story. I think it tells everyone’s story.” – Lindsey Stirling

‘Artemis’ will be available on September 6, 2019, via BMG. The anticipated project will tackle themes of overcoming obstacles and fighting through life’s downfalls to reclaim one’s happiness and strength.

Also, it recounts the story of Artemis, Goddess of the Moon, whose life uniquely draws parallels to Stirling’s personal experiences.

Lindsey Stirling is internationally recognized for her performances on America’s Got Talent and Dancing With The Stars.

As a solo artist, she has amassed well over 11M YouTube subscribers and 2 billion-plus YouTube streams. Also, she has won multiple Billboard Music Awards since releasing her self-titled debut album in 2012.

According to Billboard, in 2016, Stirling was the highest grossing Electronic Artist. Ahead of headlining acts like The Chainsmokers, Flume, and Kygo. Also, she’s a New York Times Bestselling author, and she was featured in Forbes ’30 Under 30’ list.

The Life Intended, by the talented Kristin Harmel, is a real page turner. The premise of the book covers Kate Waithman's life after her husband is tragically killed in a car accident shortly after they were married. What Kate doesn't realize though is her life is far from being complete. The book encompasses the pain a widow feels after their spouse has been taken from them, and how to still find happiness after that.

I seriously could not put this book down for anything and I just wanted to keep reading to find out what happened. Just when you think you know the direction the book is going to go, there's still a little twist that you don't see coming that still makes this book quite enjoyable. At the end tears may be shed, so you may want to have some tissues ready.

Stranger Things - Season 3
Stranger Things - Season 3

I'm starting to tire of the concept I think
Series three follows the established formula, of happiness, weird things happen, everyone gets involved, Steve gets a kicking while the kids hide, Hopper and Joyce save the day.
While the series continues to be atmospheric and full of nice 80s references, I really think I am starting to tire of the show. The fact that it is supposed to be centred around the kids is strong, and yet they get involved in so little of the action that it is a let-down. Imagine if in the Goonies the gang got to One-eyed Willie's booby traps only for Chunk's uncle to appear to get them through it, while they complain about snogging in braces.
Hopefully series 4 will be more interesting and mix things up a little.

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

I'm just going to jump straight in. This is the first of the bloodline chronicles and I cannot wait for the next. I have been truly captivated by the story and the characters!

There is fighting, sex and discoveries, all so well put together that it has been a pleasure to read. Both of the main characters Sarai and Marcelle have heartbreaking backstories and have been through so much hardship to do with families that they find it hard to trust anybody, but they have found each other and it's like they've been made for each.

I really cannot wait to find out where these characters go and I hope they get the happiness they deserve.

A recommendation from me for sure

Interview with the vampire Claudia’s Story!
Graphic Novel
An Adaptation by Ashley Marie Witter of the book by Anne Rice
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A richly-illustrated adaptation of Anne Rice's INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, told through the eyes of the vampire Claudia, who was just a little girl when she was turned by the vampire Lestat. Though she spends many years of happiness with her two vampire fathers, she gradually grows discontent with their insistence upon treating her like a little girl, even though she has lived as long as any mortal man...and her lust to kill is certainly no less than theirs...

This was such a beautiful graphic novel! Interview with the vampire is one of my favourite books so to see this side of Claudia story so beautifully illustrated was just special. Stunning book.

If you want a book that will calm you down, relax you, show you love and emotion, but at the same time turn your world around and make you cry at 2am, this is the perfect book for you!

Filled with so much love, laughter, happiness, tears, travelling, 7 second long hugs and intimate moments, this book has left me speechless until the very last page.

You will travel the world around with Bridget, and listen to her playlist, keep track of her thoughts and be a witness while she tries to take her pieces of her heart sorted out together again.

But she will fall in love with a person she's expected least - a tiny little baby girl!
Definitely a book that I would recommend to all of you that love these type of stories, and all of you that don't - because you'll love this one regardless!

Seen by some as an 80s Godfather light, this masterpiece of storytelling stands very much on its own two feet. There is a melancholy and nostalgia that make you care about the characters in ways many crime films don’t achieve. Led by one of the best cinema scores there has surely ever been. Ennio Morricone’s haunting melodies stay with you for life, evoking in turns the spirit of childhood, the regret of old age, and the ache for love and happiness that ultimately evades every one of them. Moments of laughter and glory turn to brutality, betrayal and bitterness, leading to an ambiguous end that breaks the heart. The look and feel of New York, captured with immense care in every shot, is a character in and of itself. An extraordinary allegory of what we were, what we dreamed we’d be and what we actually became.
