FALL FOR YOU is a sweet and steamy standalone where, sometimes, you find the job you need and the person you love in the most unusual ways.

Davis hasn't found the work he needs in the time since he left his hometown, running away from a very bad situation. Instead, he finds himself working in a diner. Carson has come back home to rescue the family firm from bankruptcy after his father and brother drove it into the ground. It's hard for him to find an assistant who is prepared to work as hard as he does.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Their relationship grew and changed in a completely natural way. And I loved how Carson knew he'd found a gem with Davis, even before they acted on the attraction between them.

I enjoyed the scenes with the mums, but I did find it easier with Carson's mum. Davis' mum, Jenny, was a bit high maintenance but also funny. It all worked out in the end.

Low angst in all the best ways, this was a great read that I can definitely recommend.

This book was everything I though it would be and yet nothing like I expected.

Come on, it's a zombie movie. If you go into this novel expecting it to have a happy ending or that no one important will die, then you are going to be gravely disappointed. In fact, after reading the ending, I was such a storm of emotion that I had to go play Pokemon to make it go away. I don't know which was sadder now that I think about it.

First of all, you have to go into this novel realizing that it is in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by zombies. How many books have you read or movies have you watched about post-apocalyptic worlds overrun by zombies where everyone is happy and everything is sunshine and rainbows? That is what I thought. This book is dark and tense and filled with so many secrets that it boggles the mind. Like Mary, I felt frustrated because I knew there had to be more, there had to be something that was not being let out and I wanted to know what was really going down.

Second, do not get attached to any character. There is always a chance that they will die even if they are the main character. I should have remembered this rule, but, alas, I fell prey to people Ryan created. I should have known there would be no happy endings or fulfilled romance in this novel. But I had hope.

The only reason I am not giving this five is because I hate the way Ryan writes. I am sure the novel would not be the same if it was written differently. I just did not like. I often found myself confused as to what exactly just happened or what was happening, probably because I also often found myself skipping over sentences and paragraphs because that is how Ryan writes.

Despite this novel being dark and depressing, it is one of the greatest zombie novels I have ever read and I will definitely be reading the second two.

I mean the second one deals with an amusement park and zombies. How can I pass that up?

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
It seems, that books relating to parallel universes are like mermaid books and contemporary books: I either get along with them, or I don't get along with them.

It's no brainer that a book involving parallel universes as <a title="A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray" href="https://bookwyrmingthoughts.com/audiobook-review-a-thousand-pieces-of-you-by-claudia-gray/"; target="_blank" rel="noopener">A Thousand Pieces of You and The Corridor have would be extremely scientific in its explanation. An information dump is (or maybe just a dumbing down of information) bound to happen if the authors want me to make sense of their parallel universes.

But somehow, I enjoyed a story concocted by A.N. Willis far more than a story concocted by Claudia Gray (parallel universes related – I DO like Claudia Gray's other works), even if my first thoughts reading the first chapter was, "Oh, no. Parallel universes. Please don't disappoint me, A.N. Willis."

I find that I'm actually not disappointed – I really enjoyed the first book in the Corridor series, and I was pretty engrossed with Willis' writing. I wanted to know more than what the author actually wrote – Estele's power, Dr. Taber's betrayal years ago. I even found myself interested in the science of the universes that the scientists were seeing and the different "Earths" Estele visits using her power. And I am not generally a science person, regardless of the fact I think Chemistry is easy and passed it with a fabulous A-.

(Maybe I'm a chemistry kid rather than a physical science or biology kid. I guess I can't run away from math after all. What if I'm an accountant one day?!?!?! I won't complain, of course, since it's baby math...)

There were moments that I found myself confused on which Earth the characters were talking about – each world has different names for each of the other Earth. The original Earth simply went with First Earth, Second Earth, and possibly so and so forth if they found any more. Estele went with calling First Earth and Second Earth whatever the scientists called them, and came up with names that were significant to that Earth when she first visits. Another version of Earth was further advanced and found more twelve Earths in total, and went with the zodiac in naming each of them. I found that while the more advanced Earth was far more complicated, Estele's version seemed to make things a lot more clearer in matching up the Earths.

Possibly the biggest difference between A Thousand Pieces of You and The Corridor was how Marguerite actually uses a device while Estele somehow has a power to travel across worlds. I personally found that really cool and interesting, and as mentioned earlier, I wanted to know more about that power as much as Estele did.

By the time I actually got to the end of the book, I was pretty disappointed... in a good way. I suppose Willis did disappoint me after all. I honestly have no clue where the author is going with the series, but I'm hoping the sequel will be just as good as the first one is.

We read this book for the first book of my monthly book club, personally I rated it two stars, as a group we rated it three stars. I dont think any of us really loved it, and personally I wouldnt say I really enjoyed it, but that's maybe because it's a book I wouldn't usually pick. I found it really hard to connect with the style.of writing as i could not get immersed in the story of the characters. It wasnt a very personal.style of writing, instead it made you feel as though you were being kept at arms length. I only started to enjoy the story three quarters through the book when the story was being tied up and coming to an end. As a group we decided we wouldnt be reading anymore Georgina Harding.

I have always found the concept of HAC (human animal conflict) highly intriguing. The idea that one day the animals will take back the planet? I find this not only completely believable, but entirely possible. The reason given for the HAC in this book (I won't spoil it) is also completely believable, AND entirely possible, in my opinion. I was riveted from start to finish. This may be one of my favorite recent James Patterson books. The story was well told, engaging, and when you really think about it, kind of terrifying.

Oh, Sandra Brown, you never disappoint!
There's a reason Sandra Brown is one of my favorite authors, and Tailspin just cements her more solidly on that list. Another fast-paced ride into suspense (and romance!). Great story - well-researched and believable. I found the aviation aspect very interesting. Terrific characters that will elicit a wide range of emotions from the reader, from "OMG I hate her, she's a terrible person" to "Aww, I really hope things work out for him." I enjoyed this one from beginning to end.

Board game for beginners
Tsuro, a game I first found out about from Tabletop episodes. This game is very much as advertised there, easy to pick up and play, and can be a bit of a laugh when you outplay others.

I very much enjoy this game, and I think the casual nature can lead much to desire, however there are times when I would like a more longer and intense game then the 5 minute short bursts.

A great time killer
This is a simple game, but it gets very addictive, very quickly. I like all of the fun graphics the game uses, but I have found that the apparent really difficult levels, are not that challenging at all (although as the game goes along, I may regret saying this!).

It's a game game to pick up when you have some time to kill, but I can see that after a while, this game could become rather repetitive.

So I watched 6 Underground as soon as it came out on Netflix, however I found out straight away, that it was a film guilty of misleading you in the trailers. As much as I loved the action sequences and always enjoy Ryan Reynolds I can decide if this was a half decent action film or just a collection of action film cliches thrown together in a montage with a Ryan Reynolds monologue playing over the top!

The first thing that attracted me to this book was the cover, loved it.
After reading the book I found that the character on the front of the book certainly lived up to the character in the book, Captian Samuel. The book is definitely a God can do all things when you rely on Him type of book that I love. We always need that reminder. I will definitely be reading more books by Michelle Griep.

I volunteered to read this book from Barbour Publishing, the opinions expressed within are my own.
