Much of the storyline is a bit fuzzy throughout the entire film, with some exceptions. Specifically the final third of the movie. But what makes 21 Bridges special is the acting. Chadwick Boseman shows he truly has high quality acting chops without relying on heavy CGI and an extensive supporting cast. JK Simmons also shows up in a role that suits his style quite nicely. Great fight scenes make this movie a very worthy action flick that you should grab a bucket of popcorn and enjoy.

I love this show.... JK simmons is amazing
I watch this sho with my wife and my inlaws. It's great, and always has me considering possibilities. It reminds me a lot of the time I read Time Traveler's wife. The best moments in this show are when the 2 sides interact on a human level. The little moments between people when the mixing and matching of the sides takes place. I don't want to list them due to spoilers, but in the premise for the show imagine there was another version of you on the other side, and the differences could be minor, or they could be vast. imagine meeting that person, or imagine meeting your wife's other? how wild would that be? There is espionage too, but truthfully that doesn't hold a candle to the human moments. Worth watching and I believe when I watch it again I'm going to see plenty I missed the first time. The only complaint I have is that it's sometimes hard to hear, we have to turn the sound way up. But it's worth it.

The best I can say about this film is that it was alright. The premise was good, although i don't think it was very well executed.

Jon Bernthal was great, probably the best actor in this. John Lithgow and JK Simmons were sadly underused, and I really didn't rate Ben Affleck. Anna Kendrick too seems to play the same character in pretty much every film she's in.

Still I liked some of the action and the comedy, although by the end I couldn't quite figure out what the point was in the investigation into the accountant?

I quite enjoy this movie I do think that the reveal at the end concerning Jon bernthall just felt a little too forced and unrealistic

An action flick with a brain
Affleck shines here, portraying an autistic badass respectfully and there definitely is an appropriate sense of dread present throughout the runtime of the movie. The supporting cast is also fantastic, Jon Lithgow and JK Simmons are as brilliant as you have come to expect them to be, but it is actually Jon Bernthal that steals every scene he is in. As expected Anna Kendrick adds a level of comic relief to the movie and she works well in contrast to Affleck’s more serious role. The writing and direction are solid and the score adds a lot to the film too.

Predictable and unoriginal
This has been on my Amazon watch list for quite some time, and I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed. For a cop action type thriller it's not bad, but nothing special.

Chadwick Boseman is probably the main selling point in this and for me it was nice to see him in something that wasn't Marvel. The rest of the cast though are either poor (Sienna Miller) or drastically underused (JK Simmons). The main problem with this film is the plot. From the cliched opening scenes to the final act, the majority of it was just so predictable, mostly because its nothing we haven't seen before. And despite their best efforts, you don't end up feeling very much for the two criminals. It's not the worst film I've ever seen but nor is it the best. Vaguely entertaining for 90 minutes but sadly not particularly memorable.

"Now for a more contemporary movie. What a phenomenal third act. What a triumphant moment at the end. There’s so much build up — some movies just don’t pay off the way they should. The performances were beyond incredible, but to have that triumphant moment be as strong as it really was, you just don’t find it. And so simple too. The story didn’t have to be about explosions and car crashes to really hit as hard as it did. It didn’t need the Hollywood spin on it — not that that story could have ever been told with a Hollywood spin on it — but that this simple story about this relationship could have as big an impact as anything I’ve seen is incredible. JK Simmons is so good; he doesn’t have any tells, so you only get clues to where it’s going. But he’s so good at playing that asshole."

Don't understand the hype
I saw this first at the cinema and had such high hopes from all of the praise, and I really hated it. Having watched it again recently, I do appreciate it a little more now but it still doesn't deserve all the hype.

I love musicals, but this is not the right kind of musical. The songs and music are actually very good, but sadly there just isn't enough of them. Where's the people bursting into song every 5 minutes? I'm also not a fan of the old school musical, although i do appreciate why they've gone down this route.

Performance wise, I think Emma Stone does well and the dialogue between her and Ryan Gosling is quite funny and witty. Not too sure on Gosling, he seems to play the same character in everything and his singing voice isn't great. I also think JK Simmons is vastly underused, which is a shame as he's a fantastic actor.

Sadly not my kind of musical.
