It was ok. It could have had a better story line. If you are a batman fan watch it. If you are not a batman fan i would skip it. Basicly batman meets jack the ripper.
Style was good
 voice acting was good
Settimg was good

Classic who probably my favourite 4th doctor story of all time it has everything the doctor dressed Sherlock Holmes Fu man Chu type villain part jack the ripper phantom of the opera what's not to love about this story. Having read a fair few Laymon novels I looked forward to reading this one. Jack The Ripper goes West is an interesting idea but sadly runs aground. The main issue I had was that there was too much cowboy malarkey going on in the main story. The horror elements are kept as bookends for the story, which follows Trevors travels to Tombstone to attempt to halt Jack The Ripper's reign of terror. As I am not much of a fan of Western novels I found it all a bit of a slog to get through. Not one of Laymon's best by a long mile.

The book is a work of fiction but the author cleverly works fiction and known facts about the Jack the Ripper case to produce a thrilling read.

The main character of the book is pathologist Woodrow Riley who manages to get himself mixed up in some very nasty going on's its up to the reader to decide whether you think he ambitious stupid or gullible. Myself I think he is a mixer of all three.

The story is based around Woodrow's dairy writings of 1888 and how he unwittingly become involved in the killings of five unfortunate women killed by the hand, of the man the world would know as Jack the Ripper. Woodrow takes the reader on a journey though a series of meetings and interactions he has with various characters and this where it gets very interesting because after a while you realize that each of these character is not what he first appears to be .

Great read for these cold winter nights so snuggle up and enjoy.
