My biggest beef with this book is that the plot didn't really seem to go anywhere and has too many unresolved problems. They never catch the killer, never find her body, and Susie's restless spirit is still probably haunting her family.

"If you want to freak yourself out Hollywood-style, The Silence of the Lambs is probably the crème de la crème of serial killer movies, no? If you prefer a Dutch kidnapping story, go for The Vanishing. Both are incredible."

Rebirth
This film ticks all the boxes and finally brings back the Teenage Slasher flick.
You have to love the story in it and the Easter egg with the killer that's really smart play.

Without sounding cocky, I guessed at the killer and was correct, but it was more of a fluke than anything. It was interesting seeing how people behave when they're scared, what they're capable of. The ending, however, was a surprise!

When a car bomb explodes killing Cat DuBois, Phoenix police detective Joe Rodriguez has his list of suspects, including Cat’s boss, traveling evangelist Persis Magen. However, a second incident makes him question who is the killer and who are potential targets. Can he figure it out before someone else dies?

I first read this mystery 20 plus years ago, and it was fun to revisit these characters. I did remember the killer, but reading it now, the villain’s identity does seem a little obvious early on. The characters are strong, and I enjoyed getting to meet them again. By the end, I was easily able to remember who they all were, even given the large number we meet early on. This is a Christian mystery, which adds to the book.

Great fun for Whodunit fans
Now in its 69th year at the St Martin's theatre I managed to get half price tickets for the show. The theatre is very old and maybe small but with plenty of character.
I saw a matinee performance as the show has 2 cast line ups. There was a face or two that looked familiar but no big names.
Despite having to keep their distance on stage the cast did a great job. There were some funny scenes as a description on the radio of someone wanted for questioning matched pretty much everyone. The show never drags and it's fun trying to figure out the killer. The only downside for me was that there weren't any real clues to work out the killer for those who like to play detective. Overall though a fun couple of hours.
