Dean (6927 KP) rated Street Fighter (1994) in Movies
Jun 6, 2018
A very cheesey action film based on the Street Fighter 2 game. Totally over the top, close to being a comedy, one for fans of the game. Just a pity that such a massive global cult game only has this as a live action movie offering. Very disappointed at the lack of fighting in this. Only the last 20 mins make up for the rest of the film.

This live action version of the Disney classic is very enjoyable. Staying very true to the cartoon and with a great, mainly British cast. Glenn Close is perfect as the wicked Cruella De Vil. There are plenty of laughs along the way as well.

Disney started to make live action movie of their classics quite long time ago. Aladdin was my favourite (along side with the Lion King) and I was a bit worried about this live action. I went to the cinema and Disney did it again. I was a child again for all the movie, laughing and enjoying every single scene. Was a really nice surprise. The songs were brilliant, the cast amazing, Will Smith exceptional. The only thing I didn't like it was Jafar. He didn't really convinced me.

Really dated
The 1st live action super hero series I remember watching. Seemed cool then, but really crap now lol. The dodgy acting and fighting , oh and the ludicrous webbing. Worth a watch just so you can laugh at how bad Marvel used to be

David McK (3562 KP) rated Man Vs Bee in TV
Jul 11, 2022
Virtually a live-action Looney Tunes, with Rowan Atkinson on full-on Mr Bean mode as he chases a bee around a wealthy couples home and proceeds to completely destroy everything in his path whilst house-minding for a week.
Great if you like Mr Bean.
Painful if you don't.

David McK (3562 KP) rated Mufasa: the Lion King (2024) in Movies
Apr 21, 2025 (Updated Apr 21, 2025)
Hmmm ... I'm not really sure what to call this: is it a prequel (as it tells the story of Simba's dad Mufasa, as memorably voiced by James Earl Jones in the original '94 toon), or a sequel (as it's presented as a story being told to Simba's own kid)?
Regardless pf what it is viewed as, what is undeniable is that it is another 'live action' (note the inverted commas) movie, following on from the 'live action' 2019 version of the story, with some of the same actors returning to the same roles.
It's also very much a traditional Disney movie, complete with songs interspersed throughout and a bit of light menace!

Dean (6927 KP) rated Garfield - The Movie (2004) in Movies
Sep 11, 2018
An ok live action film of the famous cartoon strip. Manages to keep the same sense of humour as the comics and it's good that Bill Murray did the voice over as he did with the cartoon show. Overall more of a movie for the youngsters, but Garfield fans will be fairly pleased.
