Fun if not fantastic
The 3rd entry now in the Fantastic Beasts. Similar to the last film and continuing on some of the main themes from that film, so you might want to have a refresh.
It's good to see Hogwarts again and some familiar Harry Potter universe locations. There are some big magical scenes with great SfX, and some good action for a film with a political vibe to a large section of it.
There were some more child like silly scenes which did feel a bit out of place. Also a shame Tina a big character in the first two films barely appears this time. Though it's great to see more about Dumbledore's history.
Overall though it's a fun film with a big and talented cast set in a familiar magical Potter universe.

I found this book intriguing but confusing, I fell in love with the characters and descriptions but found the fact it jumps from time to time and skips between different points of views confusing because I found myself forgetting who's perspective i was reading.

However, I found it magical and a fantastic read. I fell in love with the characters and the plot.

I feel this books target audience was 11 year olds. Since that is the age we meet Harry it makes sense to start the series that way. A lot of older readers just getting introduced may find it too juvenile. I recommend everyone who feels this way to just get through it. It is worth it and opens the door to the wizarding world. It truly is magical.

Beautifully written and completely original yet not so far fetched as to be totally unbelievable. Character driven and focused on the relationships between them as well as between humans and nature. I couldn't put it down and read it in one day unfortunately, as it was one of those rare and magical stories that I never wanted to end. I hope to see a sequel in the future. Highly recommended!!
