Ducklady (1174 KP) rated Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - Part Three in TV
Feb 15, 2020
Good series, performed really well although the plot kept getting mixed up. The last episode was super predictable so left little suspense but still enjoyable to watch. Sabrina's character was slightly confused at points and the decisions she made didn't seem to match up to the character they have set up. I was also slightly disappointed by the lack of Salem in this series, he appeared every now and again but he needed to be in it more! Helda was of course fantastic and wholesome <3 Sabrina's friends really feel irrelevant though XD

Debbiereadsbook (1097 KP) rated Hiding From Two (Soul Match #3) in Books

really enjoying this series!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is book 3 in the Soul Match series, and you really DO need to read books one, Slave For Two and book two, Cherished By Two before you read this one. You need to know about Chris, Lasar and Nary and not all is recapped here.
Morgan is Chris' cousin and under Lasar's protective custody. After Advisor Hallosh helped save Morgan from the attack at the Nall's sex party, the Soul Match flares between them. But then it flares again when Morgan meets Rama, Lasar's warrior friend. But Morgan is scared, and it takes another vision that Chris has to make Morgan see, that there are worse things than being a third in a Soul Match bond. Time is running out, though, for both the human and Alasharian rebellion.
For me, the weakest of the three books so far, and I think it's mainly because of Morgan himself! He was so adamant that he would NOT match with Hallosh and Rama, and then BOOM, his opinion flipped on a penny and I felt it a bit much.
We do get some Chris and that vision the Shar Shar Ar graces Chris with. We get what's happening with the Nall and the Void.
And we are introduced to Graham in the most horrific way. His book is next.
So, not as good as book 2, but on a par with book one.
4 stars

Have come back to this game after deleting it a while ago and refinding it on the App Store. Not sure why I deleted it at the time but it is just a normal match 3 game to win stars, so you can buy items to decorate the house. There are lots of games out there with the same concept. Yes some of the levels are hard and take several goes (I may have got bored at this stage and that is why I deleted it) and some are easy, but at the moment I am quite happy to waste time playing it.

Dean (6924 KP) rated The Dark Knight Rises (2012) in Movies
Feb 3, 2018
A brilliant film and great ending....for now at least to this trilogy. Dark, gritty and brutal it doesn't feel like a comic book action hero film. It's more a harsh crime thriller! I thought Anne Hathaway was well cast as Catwoman as is Tom Hardy as Bane. The only problem I had was understanding everything Bane said through his face mask, at times the voice doesn't seem to match the villain? Only small minor gripes though, still I have to add The Dark Knight is still my favourite of the 3 with this a close second.

fun, friendly, interesting
I had heard about this game from a friend and i thought i would give it a try. First of all its a really friendly and fun match 3 game, secondly you can open up hundreds of characters with unique abilities from every disney film ever made and thirdly its the first game what i have come across where you can actually use the emojis you unlock in the game on a phones keyboard. Its easy to setup and for the big kid in me. i was sending disney emoji's to everyone i could think of.lol. All in all a good game, cool interface, great but simple graphics. :)

Unique Decks (1 more)
Decks can be registered and tracked online
Gloranta, the "Arsonist" of Jealousy
Great idea for a game. Each deck is unique and procedurally generated. Decks are 'balanced' but there are definitely decks that have better synergy than others. Each deck is made up out of 3 of the 7 factions and has the name of the deck written on the back so no mixing and matching between decks. Each turn you have to decide which faction you will "activate" and only those cards can be used, including those in play. The first one to activate their 3 keys with enough Aember is the winner.
There is a base game that comes with two fixed starter decks but it also comes with two randomized decks. The base game includes all of the tokens and counters that you need to play. Individual decks can be purchased separately.
I enjoyed the games that I played and never had a match that I felt was unbalanced enough to not be winnable. This isn't the first one I will grab to hit the table but I have a couple of decks at the office to break out over lunch.

Sarah (7798 KP) rated Blade Runner 2049 (2017) in Movies
Oct 16, 2017
Visually impressive
Trying to follow the original Blade Runner is a difficult task, but Denis Villeneuve has done a fantastic job. This is one of the most visually impressive films I've seen all year, and it has the music and score to match. It's not an all out sci-fi as expected, but more a slow burning detective story.
Ryan Gosling is surprisingly good in the lead role, I've never been much of a fan of his until now but he does well. Harrison Ford is perhaps a little underused, and I wasnt a huge fan of Jared Leto and his character.
My only criticism would be it felt a little too long. I'm sure they could've cut a few of the scenes down to a slightly more acceptable length to avoid the nearly 3 hour runtime.

Wrestlings not fake!
Before jack black did Nacho Libre
Before john Cena did Legend
Before Mickey Rourke did the wrestler and before the Release of paiges career movie fighting with my family, there was READY TO RUMBLE.
The story follows Sewage workers Gordie and Sean who are huge wrestling fans, as they watch their hero, WCW World Heavyweight Champion Jimmy King cheated out of the title, Jimmy quickly spirals down and hits Rock Bottom (see what I did there)
The boy's decide to embark on a quest to restore their icon's glory.
The road trip includes meeting jimmys estranged (ex?) Wife & son, barnyard wrestling tryouts, wrestling and OAP & a 3 cages of hell match, not to mention all the toilet humour- Literally.
Starring Goldberg, sting, ddp, Booker T, billy kidman, bam bam bigelow and many more
Also starring David Arquette, sean caan, Rose McGowan and Oliver platt.

Merissa (11765 KP) rated Forbidden Match (Perfect Match Agency #6) in Books
Aug 3, 2023
FORBIDDEN MATCH is part of the multi-author Perfect Match Agency series, although you don't have to have read any of the previous books to get the full benefit of this one.
Because this one is a beauty! The start of it, seeing Topher and Renn getting to know each other through emails and texts, was brilliant. Then how they kept missing each other for various reasons, followed by the explosive meeting when they did. And then everything that goes on afterwards, and how they are there for each other. Absolutely bloody brilliant!
You get a full story here - beginning, middle, and ending - without it feeling rushed, or that time has jumped, or anything has been skipped over. The timeline works for their story and it is perfectly paced, giving you lots of sexy times but also other things that keep the story moving.
I've read three of these books now (unless I've forgotten one) and I would absolutely say this was the best of the bunch so far. Of course, I'll have to check the others now, just to make sure, you know, in the name of R&D! 😁
HIGHLY recommended by me.
