A slightly above average Rom-Com, good to see a modern take on the genre for a change. It has it's funny moments, silly at times, a good all round cast. Although why "Ludacris" is in a Rom-Com I'm not sure? It's enjoyable enough, but still suffers from the typical cuteness at times and being a predictable Hollywood Rom-com in the end. If you like this also check out A lot like love with Kutcher and Peet in the lead roles.

Awesome
After watching the original (I have watched many times!) I was excited but unsure when the remake came out. We watched a s a family at the cinema and from start to finish we were all laughing! The film is done brilliantly taking the original story but twisting and tweaking it to make it modern and funny! We have now watched it numerous times still finding it funny every time! Would highly recommend

I LOVED Ready Player One! I read it when it originally came out, and I loved how fresh and modern the story was. It was the perfect change of pace from other books that I had recently read. The story allows your imagination to soar, and the story is continually interesting. The book is way better than the movie, though it was fun to see it in movie form. Ready Player One is a fun, easy, smooth, exciting, interesting read!

Addicted from first play
I have been playing non stop5hours a day since recieving the game and let me tell you it pulls you in. The worlds are beautiful and immersive a d varied enough to keep the game fresh. When you get the controls down itslikesecond nature as you mine and build your empire I definitely would recommend this game as its joined fallout for me amongst greatest modern games

Racist and lacking humor beyond the surface
If you've seen the preview for this show you have seen the show. I will not watch more than the pilot because it's terrible. Awkwardness can be funny, but it is not by itself funny. Fish out of water stories are ripe ground, and well worn paths in storytelling. This is trying to be modern family/Blackish/fresh off the boat, while not saying anything of value.

Well, I just read this 2nd book in this poetry series in 32 minutes. I thought it was better, until the last bit (I have zero interest in politics, and I'm choosing to withhold my true opinion about that section). The format was a little better. More power to the author for making money off of this stuff. Needless to say, I will never pick up another modern poetry book that doesn't have capitalization of the author's name on the front.

AT (1676 KP) rated Rent: Live in TV
Jan 28, 2019 (Updated Jan 28, 2019)
I love Rent. The live version that just aired on Fox was fine, and fun to watch. Some pre-recorded parts were shown due to one of the main characters breaking his ankle right before the live show. It was a decent performance, but I still love the original Broadway cast. However!! They did bring in the original cast to sing Seasons of Love at the end, which I LOVED! Great move! Jonathan Larson was such a heartbreaking loss to modern theater!

We're ready!
I watched this film with my two kids and there was silence! This is the perfect film for both adults and kids. I loved the modern yet retro feel to this.
The fight scenes are fantastic! I had to re watch as each time I watched I saw more and more characters hidden amongst the crowds. The attention to detail is fantastic.
I'd happily watch this a few more times. The story line to this is genius. It's extremely well captured.

Don't compare it to the original the
Follows the story of the charmed ones, 3 witches with powers beyond the norm. Its nothing compared to the original, and if you watch it thinking it will be, then you'll be disappointed. However if you keep an open mind and make it through the first few episodes, it's a easy watching and fun show. The story lines are a little predictable at times but a good mix of magic and modern life

Erika (17789 KP) rated Ghosts of Sugar Land (2019) in Movies

I came across this short film on Netflix and decided to watch it because it was about Sugar Land. It featured a group of Muslim friends, and a dude that became Muslim and ended up radicalized.
My favorite part about the whole short film was that the guys being interview all wore hilarious Halloween masks to hide their identity because of the nature of the documentary. It also shows an interesting dichotomy between modern, 1st generation American Muslims and traditional Muslims.
