A good Gen X movie
This is a great movie to bad it did not meassure up to the book. Now saying that i gave it an 8. If it followed the book to a tee you could have had 2 or 3 movies easy from it. As a child of the 80s this movie hit home. It had both the feel of the 80s and the since of a dystopian future. I highly recommend watching the movie and reading the book, do it that order.

Thor: Rargnarok took the best parts of a couple different Marvel Comics storylines, fused them together into an 80's buddy action comedy movie.
If you apperciated the tone of GotG, like Thor but not his movies you'll love this. Of the 17 films in the franchise this one is in the top half.
I am glad Hulk's Warbond, though not called as such in the film, survived. Hope to see more of Kord and Miek, maybe even a spin off of there own.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX!?!?
This is one of those movies that always shocks me when people say they've never seen it.
The movie follows two detectives who are hunting down a serial killer who is using the Seven Deadly Sins as inspiration for his murders and let me tell you to this day Sloth messed me up so much. But it's the amazing ending that really just makes this movie something special that everyone who is a fan of Psychological Thrillers should definitely watch.

The Directing is terrible,
Unintelligible action.
The technology of the animation is purely what keeps this at a 2. Everything else is atrocious.
If you took a bad MTV music video and made a fight sequence where you didn't know who was who, this is the movie attached to it. And then they made more of this garbage. I'm just really glad michael bay made these movies instead of destroying other great Intellectual properties.
Erika (17788 KP) rated Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) in Movies

Disclaimer: All of the movies in Phase 2 of the MCU are nearly the same. Winter Soldier's just my favorite out of all of them.
One: I like Anthony Mackie as Falcon, he's a great addition to the MCU. Two: Scarlett Johansson was the perfect partner in this edition. I wasn't thrilled when they 'killed' Bucky off in The First Avenger, so I was all for Bucky returning as the Winter Soldier. It's a tightly paced film, and it's a good Captain America film.

I actually didnt think id like this movie and had put off watching it for a bit.but just like the first one was plesently suprised .mix match cast worked well together action and effects good and jokes witch are usually pretty corny in movies like this i thought were funny.except for one monster they all looked real .they didnt need to do it so kinda ruined that part for me but pretty good real special effects other than that.
Erika (17788 KP) rated Hook (1991) in Movies
Feb 19, 2018
Peter Pan is probably one of my two most favorite children's' books (the other being Winnie-the-Pooh). So, in the early 1990s, when this movie came out, I was so completely excited. One, you have Robin Williams, playing Peter. Two, you've got the Lost Boys, in all of the early 90s glory (Bangarang for life). Dustin Hoffman as Hook was so good, and the exchanges between Hook and Smee are some of my favorite in any movies. I still joke and say apostrophe instead of epiphany.

I want to visit the house
This was Radcliffe's first movie after the Harry Potter movies and he certainly takes a different turn with this character and this movie. Set at the turn of the century, The Woman in Black follows the tale of a solicitor (Radcliffe) going to a home to set the financial and legal matters of a deceased woman to rights. He encounters all manner of mystery and intrigue including a bizarre town and a host of mystery and otherworldly apparitions.

Climbing out of the rabbit hole
As a mother with two small children, all of the movies we watch are on repeat. This one makes it's way into the rotation and I never mind when it does. It takes me back to my childhood. On the reverse side, there isnt much music to sing to, and there is a smoking Caterpillar to teach my daughter bad habits.
