Very good film, some of the scenes reminded me of Harry Potter and King Kong with the scenery and music. The only problem was that you knew Tarzan would win in the end as that was the nature of the story. Also not having watched the main Tarzan film for many years I couldn’t remember why Jane was bought up in the jungle and this was not really explained in the film, although you did have several flashbacks with Tarzan himself.

Book Rating
Jane Harper’s follow up to her wildly successful debut, The Dry, leaves a bit to be desired. The format is similar, flip flopping back and forth in time so the reader can find out what actually happened. However, Force of Nature never quite seems to get going. It’s slow in the buildup which doesn’t offer the satisfaction expected. The characters are not very compelling and nothing drives the reader to invest in any of them. Hopefully, the third time will be a charm.

What movie fits this description?

Ben Cash his wife Leslie and their six children live deep in the wilderness of Washington state. Isolated from society, Ben and Leslie devote their existence to raising their kids -- educating them to think critically, training them to be physically fit and athletic, guiding them in the wild without technology and demonstrating the beauty of co-existing with nature. When Leslie dies suddenly, Ben must take his sheltered offspring into the outside world for the first time.

Outstanding Programing
Sir David Attenborough once again narrates a series full of astonishing creatures, and some if the most stunning shots I have ever seen. Like the original series, it is broken down into sections, each showing a habitat such as jungles, the deep sea ect. And how the animals within deal with the challenges of that habitat. It is another beautiful showcase of the founders of the natural world and is a MUST see for all nature documentary fans.

I came across this short film on Netflix and decided to watch it because it was about Sugar Land. It featured a group of Muslim friends, and a dude that became Muslim and ended up radicalized.
My favorite part about the whole short film was that the guys being interview all wore hilarious Halloween masks to hide their identity because of the nature of the documentary. It also shows an interesting dichotomy between modern, 1st generation American Muslims and traditional Muslims.

"I love all of his stuff from A Love Supreme onwards. I love the whole spiritual nature of those tunes. Love Supreme was his hymn to god and it sounds like it. Whenever I hear that first track it makes me think of opening a window and all this fresh, clean spring air coming in. It's uplifting, in the tradition of gospel, but abstracted. All of his stuff from that point onwards was a hymn. It's constantly influential and inspiring."

Do the Right Thing (1989)
1989 | Comedy, Drama

"It’s ridiculously sentimental in some parts and maddeningly intrusive in others, and the heart of it depends on the hoary cliché of all white men being virulently racist as a matter of course. And yet . . . who can forget it once they’ve seen it? It’s urgent, unapologetic, and irrepressibly alive. Aliens from the future could find no more fitting an artifact to see America’s soul at the tail end of the twentieth century than Spike Lee’s tone poem to human nature and human chaos."

"The zenith for both Pabst and star Louise Brooks—the latter has become almost solely emblematic of the flapper age because of this film! Adapted from playwright Franz Wedekind’s story of Lulu, a preternaturally powerful beauty blithely strolling through the mating marshlands of the world, where nature is savagely cruel to both the pursuers and the pursued. Watch this film at different stages of your romantic life span and behold your sympathies shifting all over the place! Ouch! Gorgeous! Ouch, again!"

"Two words: David Thewlis. He gives one of those performances that you can’t believe actually exist. He is an absolute force of nature in this film, playing what is essentially an extremely unlikable character that you can’t help but be completely compelled by. It’s the most verbal movie since His Girl Friday, and experiencing the nonstop dialogue that comes out of Thewlis’s mouth is like witnessing all of the world’s greatest jazz artists playing a euphoric two-hour concert at once."
