This is a Godzilla story of how he was sighted in the past, and some of the background of searching for him or other monsters. Past that, there wasn't much of an actual individual story, so it wasn't very exciting. It's good for origin, though.

A good origin story
This is another Marvel comic origin story, so yes it's fairly predictable. However for me it's one of the better Marvel films I've seen in recent years. Due to its mind and universe bending nature, it has a completely different feel to the other super hero films. Benedict Cumberbatch is a great addition to the Marvel line-up, however his accent does get pretty dodgy at times. It's intriguing, funny and the special effects are fantastic.

Although ground-breaking based upon Hollywood's much needed and applauded progression towards diversity, the story must stand on its own legs as an origin movie, which it manages to do, action and story are good but not great, however it is a warm welcome and good start for this hero.

Ryan Reynolds is perfectly cast as the fast talking fowl mouthed hard to kill super hero.
Not for the easily offended this origin story is filled with inventive action and memorable dialogue making this a great addition to the MCU.
