Lessons and Adventures... what an interesting perspective!
ROMAN'S GIFT is told completely from Roman's perspective. It's been a long time since I've read an M/F book from the male's point of view. And let me tell you - it worked! I want my own Roman, pretty please!!!
This is a smoothly-paced, hot-to-trot story that not only shows you the spark between the main characters but shows you a snippet into their work lives too. Now, as this was told by Roman, some of the things on Juliette's side don't have the same impact. I'll be honest, she would have had to work a whole lot harder to get back in my good books, but I guess I'm just mean that way. As for Roman's PTSD, it was hard reading, I'll not deny that, but it was written so well! Roman has his found family and I'll admit to a tear in my eye when he realised it.
All in all, this was a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending. Get your copy!

I heard a lot of bad things about this film before I saw it so I was apprehensive but it was so much better than I expected it to be.
Everyone was saying it’s nowhere near as good as the first one and to be honest I’d have to disagree. Yes it did pay homage to the first film a lot and it’s storyline relied slightly more on suspension of disbelief than the first one but as a film separate from its predecessor i genuinely thought it was good.
There was a clear story arc that felt like something that could be told as an extension to the first film without it seeming as though they were milking it dry for some dollar. There was a higher quality of characterisation in this film - particularly with secondary characters. And it didn’t have Samuel L Jackson playing a lisp twat so that was a bonus.
The only issue for me was Harry’s character. The fact that they brought him back from the dead so he could flail around as a useless butterfly enthusiast for half an hour before coming back to the film with some form of immature portrayal of PTSD flashbacks just made me frustrated. Don’t even get me started on Merlin. (Although his death was beautiful and a lovely addition to the film I still miss him and I cried so no)

WALL SEX. FINALLY.

As you can see from my title, I was most excited about the wall sex we've been promised for two books. However, there were other things in this book that I loved so, so much.
First of all - RHYSIE!!! They used that name!! Canonically!! My bb High Lord was amazing as always. And the way Maas explained what Feyre was going through was positively poetic at times. It was so good.
Bryaxis??? Is still lost?? And if you don't find that hilarious, you are incredibly disappointing.
And my Illyrian Babies!! These are 500-year-old fae males, and they have annual snowball fights. If you don't think that's the most adorable thing ever, then you are also incredibly disappointing. The bois were a big mood throughout the entire book, and I loved it so, so, so much.
My sweetheart Mor deserves none of this shit btw. THREE SPIKES. EXCUSE MOI?? This isn't allowed; I almost cried.
Nesta's PTSD was well-written, as well as the tension between her and Cass. Also, the I don't want Cassian to know I'm reading Smut face is also my favorite face.
And, of course, smut. It was well-written, as usual, but I feel it could have been better. And longer.

Not bad, but another unnecessary sequel
The biggest question I had about this film, was did we really need another Halloween sequel? The answer is sadly a no.
They’ve at least had the common sense to completely erase all references to the other sequels, which was definitely a smart move. And getting Jamie Lee Curtis back was another good choice. I’m not going to lie, hearing the original Halloween theme music back on the big screen gave me the creeps, but in a good way. It’s just a shame that the majority of this film is a bit cliched and formulaic. It was easy to predict how the film was going to progress and who’d survive at the end, and having Michael escape in a prison bus transfer is so cliched it was painful.
There are some creepy moments in this, mainly for me around Michael's willingness to kill anyone in sight and a few jump scares. There’s also a fair amount of blood and gore too which was very much welcome. It was good to see some strong female characters in this and the subject of PTSD raised as well. The most overwhelming feeling I had watching this film was boredom. Apart from when Michael was on screen, which didn’t seem to be often enough, I found a lot of the other scenes a bit tedious and boring and the ending seemed rushed and was a bit of a letdown.

Siren Song is the third book in The Chameleon Effect series, and although we still have Idris and Cadi, Rowan and Connell take the front. They were a matched pair but were separated, neither of them old enough to properly remember the other. When Cadi and Rowan end up going to LA to meet up with Idris, Rowan feels the pull of her crystal and searches for her other half. Unfortunately, due to circumstances in book two, Rowan suffers from PTSD which does have consequences for her.
This is the third book in the series, and definitely needs to be read as such. Trust me, it won't make much sense if you just start with this one. However, if you do read the first two, you will re-enter a world of Livrans, and lost children, soul mates and crystals.

It is perfectly paced, with plenty of build up and action. You stay with Idris and Cadi as their relationship progresses, and yet there is plenty of time for Rowan and Connell. An excellent story with a cast of characters that you will both like and loathe.
A brilliant addition to the series and definitely recommended by me.

The true main villain is a let down with his absolutely poor motivation being somewhat repetitive of the previous series especially as we will never see a confrontation between Tony and his archenemy (1 more)
Also having stark quit at the end seems pointless as we knew he was in the next avengers film

So here it is the final film of marvel's iron man series with Tony stark unlikely to return due to his death in endgame which means we will never see him fight the real mandarin look for him in shang chi however Downey is his usual great self and stark character arc is nice nod to avengers about him being just as heroic without his suit and his ptsd and the supporting cast are just as great.
The film is a fun action piece and has many hilarious moments.
It's shame the film has such a lame villain the twist while being funny you soon stop laughing that your left with another crap mcu villain something marvel is improving on fortunely his motivation are poor and he is a let down also the film with stark giving up being iron man felt redundant given we knew he was in age of ultron
Overall this still an enjoyable watch and will thrill the family

The main reason I saw this film was because of Sebastian Stan. Of course, the story is interesting. Stan's character is gathering evidence for a Medal of Honor for an Airman named Pitts during Operation Abilene during Vietnam.
It was interesting for the film to show portrayals of multiple cases of PTSD. It was obviously sad, and I had a headache from the tears that wouldn't stop running down my face. It definitely tugs at the heartstrings. It was also pretty depressing. But, of course, it does have a happily ever after.
I found the whole quest for a medal interesting. Since I saw 1917 last weekend, with the main character openly talking about trading his bit of ribbon from the Somme for some wine because it didn't mean anything. Also, I happen to have a bro that was glad when he didn't get a Purple Heart, and wants nothing to do with medals. I suppose the medal was sought for the parents, and because the vets from the Vietnam War were treated poorly. Though, you could argue that vets from every war haven't been treated particularly well.
I think this film was Peter Fonda's last, which shows how long ago it was filmed. I'm not sure why the release was delayed for around 2 years. I guess overall, if you're interested in war films, specifically Vietnam, you would like it. I don't think it would be for everyone.

CHAINED HEARTS is the third book in the Sentries series, and really, I have no idea how poor Nick gets through each day. He has had so much thrown at him and it's not over yet.
Nick is suffering from PTSD following the attack by the Kelbit. Todd is also suffering with his health but refuses to see a doctor as he is too busy trying to find a way for them to survive and go to ground. They do find a small town where a reprieve awaits them but all good things must come to an end--and it does, for them both.
This was such a great book but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you read it as a series or it just won't make sense.
Todd and Nick still manage to get some steamy times in but Nick is put through the wringer once again. I am loving the overall story arc that runs through these books but I can't help but wish they had some time to move that along, rather than be sidetracked by Nick being kidnapped.
The world-building continues to amaze and the characters are just as interesting as ever. Some new ones to like and some to dislike. I'll leave it up to you to figure out which is which.
