The plot: Sawyer is an ambitious, overachieving college student who has a seemingly bright future. While on her way to a job interview, a wrong turn leaves her stranded deep in the frozen forest. Suddenly, the young woman who has everything to live for finds herself facing her own mortality as she's punished by the elements and pursued by a band of ruthless outlaws. With nowhere left to run, she is forced into an uneasy alliance with an enigmatic loner who has shadowy intention.
My only problem with this movie is the GPS. So in the movie the GPS reroute's her to the middle of no where and thats how this whole movie happens. Is because her GPS reroute's her. I thought that GPS story would go somewhere, like the charcters that abused her or policeman hacked her GPS to go to the middle of nowhere and that why he GPS rerouted her. Nope, it just reroutes her and thats it. It borthers me, cause if the GPS didnt reroute her, than the whole would of never happen, but since the GPS did reroute the movie happened.
Other than that its a really good survival movie.

The story is told predominantly from the point of view of the main character, Tess, along with snippets from her grief counsellor and brother-in-law. Tess’ conversations that she had with her late husband were heart-breaking. It was an incredibly emotionally charged book, well written and beautifully plotted and so cleverly constructed to help conceal major reveals in the natural progression of the story.
“The Perfect Betrayal” is my favourite type of psychological thriller - where the voices and thoughts of the characters and the reader’s own imagination complement the story. From the beginning, it is an absorbing and riveting novel as well as being massively addictive. The main protagonist, Tess, did not know who to trust and nor did I.
Highly recommended, this is a sad and harrowing story of grief, love and loss, with a fulfilling but shocking finish. Lauren North’s writing is just exquisite and I will be looking out for her next offering.

This read was no exception - The characters were well fleshed out, the premise was very interesting and the writing is to a high standard. I definitely want to read the next book in the series!
The one annoyance I had was that timings in the story did not stay consistent. Ages of people when certain events took place do not match up to what you have already been told and I feel that it spoilt my immersion in the story. I really do wish that more care had been taken as, it turns out, these ages are very important!
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys psychological suspense and mysteries. I also wonder........ Would I have made the same choice? I think so. Would you?
