Che (148 KP) rated The Angriest Man in Brooklyn (2014) in Movies
May 28, 2019
It was an interesting movie. Helps you understand that everyone processes death differently. Robin Williams showed a little range. Which is haunting after his death. But, it’s a great topic of figuring out what you’d do if you believed you only had a short time to live and how desperately hopelessness turns to anger. Parts of this movie were just over the top. The acting will never win awards, but, it’s a decent movie. Glad I saw this one.

This was an interesting set of books and authors. I personally didn't feel that it was "horror" persay but it had some of the slight creep factors.. now if it was YA (which I have no clue if it is or not but I think i saw its adult) it might be more horror then adult. But the stories themselves were good. I enjoyed them and the writing was very good . i am glad i got to review it

Dawn Marie (22 KP) rated Resident Evil (2002) in Movies

I saw this movie originally in the theaters and I walked out so mad. As a fan of the games I was extremely upset that not one main character from the game was in it. After learning that there were reasons behind capcom s decision on that now I look at the movie as more of a prequel. I think the best of the movie series is two but this one as good as a prequel

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2412 KP) rated Exposure in Books

Kaycee Raye is known in town for her paranoia. But when someone does break into her house, leave a threatening message, and then take it again before the police arrive, will she get anyone to believe her? I saw a major twist coming fairly early, but for the most part I enjoy this tale of Christian suspense.

Cynthia Armistead (17 KP) rated Cross Bones (Temperance Brennan, #8) in Books
Mar 1, 2018
I was really disappointed when I realized where the plot was going - Christ's bones? Come on, Reichs. But she did a very good job with the plot, giving the reader plenty of intrigue without ever getting into any mystical nonsense. I found the references to The Da Vinci Code highly amusing (there may have been some that I missed, but I haven't read the book, and I was only half-way paying attention when I saw the movie).

"I saw the future, and in it I was alive."
Neil Hilborn is my favorite so the five stars is probably a little biased. However I love all his work. I love watching him perform the poems and I love reading them. I honestly never really cared about poetry until I found him by accident about a year ago, and now I read poems as much as I read fiction. So thank you Neil, and thank you button poetry.

Schlocky cheesy gory fun!
One of the greatest cult classics of all time. The first time I saw this film, I almost couldn't believe some of the dialogue and cheesy, 80s gore. It is so much fun, you almost can't stand it.
Watch scientist Herbert West try and reanimate (duh) dead tissue including a few people who meet untimely deaths and you will be in for one heck of a great time!

Enjoyable lighthearted thriller
I only saw a brief trailer for this but it sounded like a decent thriller with its more comic moments. The plot is most like that of @Gone Girl (2014) but not as dark in content. I enjoyed it although the final act is quite busy but it draws to a good conclusion after plenty of twists and turns. The 2 female leads make the film good for me.

Another great read from Andy Weir

I loved Andy Weirs first book and when I saw this one I purchased straight away.
Set on a colony on the moon. The book follows the story of a unusual heroin who starts off trying to do something illegal for a client but ends up saving the whole colony.
A book that I couldn't put down. Cannot wait to see what he comes up with next.
